So who got a theatre related Christmas gift?
I got the book London Theatres by Michael Coveney which weighs a ton and looks stunning
Putting it on by Michael Codron who I've not heard of and
A Follies tote bag which i will have to save for when shopping in Waitrose as it's far too camp to go to Asda with.

Michael Codron is one of the most successful West End producers in the second half of the last century. We have to thank him, amongst many other things, for putting on the early Pinter plays. I've read "Putting It On" and it was fascinating. |

I got the London Theatres books too, and the Punchdrunk Drowned Man bill. And two of John Lahr’s. (Ok I might have abused my staff discount to order my own presents haha)

Well, I have to hand it to Mr. Tibs - he does pay attention. He'd caught the bit of the conversation last week when I mentioned that I have never seen Chess and that it's coming back.
Trouble is, he'd done his inevitable wandering out of the room before he heard the second part of the sentence when I added how totally bonkers I thought people like @caiaphas were in buying tickets before the casting was announced......
So you can all have a(nother) big laugh on me and pray for the Casting Gods to be gentle....

I got the "Just The Ticket" ticket stub holder from amazon which will come in really useful, I've already started putting in my tickets from this year gone and writing at the side who I saw. Then the Musicals Definitive Illustrated History that others have mentioned, the Legally Blonde Original London Cast Recording, the full book and lyrics of Rent (don't ask me why I wanted it I just did) and these posh peg things that are also pins so that you can put tickets on a pinboard without making holes in them. Finally I got some vouchers for millennium centre and a ticket for Miss Saigon on Friday which I'm very excited about!

I don't get theatre related gifts because no one knows I love theatre.
To be honest, I dind't know either, until a couple of years ago, so...
I see that everyone here got "London Theatres". Maybe I'll buy myself a copy for the New Year.

these posh peg things that are also pins so that you can put tickets on a pinboard without making holes in them. Ok. I give up. I have googled every single combination of pins and pegs in every conceivable word order and I cannot find these! They sound fabulous. Details please?! |

Great read, so far, although it does contain the entire shows book, which is annoying as I already have that in paperback. This does however have pictures from each scene accompanying which is as close as I'll get to seeing the show - for now.  |

A bit late to the party here! I got The West End Producer ("...about being an actor...") and "Hamilton: The Revolution" which is brilliantly published. Very happy  (I already treated myself to "London Theatre's" and the second West End Producer book before Christmas). |

I had my traditional theatre token treasure hunt round the garden but we didn't do it till yesterday because the weather was so horrible on Christmas day and boxing day.

All members of my family bought me NT vouchers. I now have enough to see me through multiple bookings in 2018
