Just found out my show tomorrow afternoon is cancelled but the evening show is going ahead? Not sure what a few hours difference is going to make to allow the show to go ahead at 8pm but not at 4pm? Ticketmaster have said they will process a refund and we can buy again for the evening show. However, we bought our tickets in a Black Friday deal so got them for half price. Repurchasing them would mean buying them at full price? That doesn’t seem right at all!
Maybe someone is injured and can manage to do it once, but not twice? Or maybe they need to wait for someone to travel up to Glasgow (Renee Lamb again?) or something?

Presumably someone else has become unwell and they're hoping one of the other girls who are ill will make a recovery for tomorrow nights show? Renee is still in Glasgow.

If they say they can't then bring up trading standards and it should be fine.

I did try this but unfortunately the text/email from Ticketmaster arrived at 5:01pm and their social media/phone team both close at 5pm on a Saturday. Looks like the 8pm show tomorrow is now sold out, annoyingly!

I understand that show cancellations are unavoidable but the lack of info about cancellations today on the official Six twitter account have been shocking. How much time would it have taken to write a quick tweet? Most of the time they're the last people to find out about things like this, really it needs to come directly from the venue in this scenario. I don't know when exactly the SEC went out to bookers but there are way more factors involved than you'd think.

Apparently norovirus or similar is sweeping through the company.

It wouldn’t surprise me if that was true. They’ve been dropping like flies throughout Glasgow, and I thought Natalie and Aimie were starting to sound a bit ill when I went, and Grace was already on for Aragon so they had to continue.

People who booked to see SIX the musical I'm sure were far more likely to follow the six social media accounts than the venues. I stand by my statement that it wouldn't have been hard for them to keep people informed on their social media accounts. They were quick enough to tweet when the show was going ahead on the 28th but didn't manage to tweet about the cancellations on the 29th until 7.36pm. Poor show. If they're cancelling a show one of their main priorities should be informing ticket holders of the cancellation.

I have a friend who was due to see the show last night and they only got an email from the SEC about the cancellation 1 hour before the show was meant to start. They had come all the way from Dundee for the show so was obviously disappointed, but it's just how it goes.

Which, hopefully, is what the SEC hopefully did going directly to bookers via email/phone calls. With the regional venues that's the quickest way to contact bookers, not the show's social media.

I had a friend who was due to see the 4pm yesterday and she also only received an email an hour prior, even though they had cancelled that particular show the day before. "It's just how it goes" = bad service and it isn't something that should be routinely accepted imo 🙃

The SEC sent delayed emails (1 hour prior to show) a tweet by the show would have helped. I can see we won't agree though so 👍🏻

How big is the stage at th Arts Theatre? Does it have a fly tower? 6.17m wide, 6.1m deep, 3.96m high. Grid 12.5m above the stage, so yes it has a bit of room to fly. Though unless this is a new, improved version of Six, it won't be needed.

As I understand it, it will be a newly improved in that direction. It's why The Arts, for all its hundreds of faults, is a valuable commodity as it is a small house but has a full height fly tower (meaning you can take something that fills the stage and fully fly it out).

I’m slightly sad that there will be different casts as Natalie and Alexia are my faves. But I’m sure whoever is in the show for it’s (hopefully) triumphant return to the Fringe will be amazing!

This is incredible! The little show that could. Just shows that if you put on a show people actually want to see, people will buy tickets.

TodayTix are doing a £21 Priority Booking for the extension, through January 2020! I’ve had a look- I think you can get the tickets on the website too. The £9.50 slips tickets seem to be £19.50 with the extra days that have been added.

Is it unusual for a show to be on the Arts Theatre for this long?

Is it unusual for a show to be on the Arts Theatre for this long? Arts Theatre never really does long runners. It's longest recent run was Ghost Stories, which ran 13 months. It also has a history of doing return shows like A Christmas Carol and American Idiot, and Six for that fact. But if Six indeed runs up until it's new booking period, it will be coming up on Ghost Stories record.
