Happy and sad to hear this.
I'll be in Chicago at the time to visit my besties and was planning on seeing Bedknobs and Broomsticks but happy to see Six in its place instead.

Wonder if they’ll change some of the script/lyrics, some of the jokes are very UK-centric

Apart from "remember us from your GCSEs?" I can't think of anything that wouldn't work in the US.

I’m at the show tomorrow in Glasgow. Through my recommendation, two of my friends have also booked tickets and I’ll be going with them, which is great. I’m so glad this show has gained such success through word of mouth.
Apparently Grace will be on tomorrow so I’m excited. I want to see her as, well, anyone, but I’d miss any of the others if they were gone - Jaye’J’s Beyoncé style voice, Millie’s sass and style, Natalie’s belt, Alexia’s energy and personality, Aimie’s little riffs and runs and Maiya’s phone-stealing habits during the megamix. She hasn’t tweeted who she’ll be on for so I’m excited to be surprised!

They could always change that line to “remember us from your SATs?”

They could always change that line to “remember us from your SATs?” Yeh but do they actually get taught it in SAT's in America anyway?

The SAT doesn't include any History questions. The Educational Testing Service, which administers the SAT, offers a separate set of exams, Achievement Tests, that test for fund of knowledge in specific areas, including History. Not sure, though, that "remember us from your Achievement Tests?" would have the zing of "remember us from your GCSEs?" especially since the Achievement Tests aren't taken by as many people as the SAT. Maybe "remember us from public television?" (which aired "Wolf Hall" here) or "remember us from Showtime?" (which aired "The Tudors")...

How much Tudor history is actually taught in America? I can't imagine it's much.

Well, I don't think a lot about Hamilton is taught (could be wrong) and it's still selling out so...

No, I don't think most high schools here do what I would call a good job of teaching history. This has many reasons, among which are challenges to the very idea of a history "canon," i.e., a focus on Europe and European-Americans at the expense of other demographic groups, and a focus on monarchs and generals as opposed to everyday life. My own view is that kids here should indeed learn a lot about the history of our own country (the U.S.) and about that of its closest ally (the U.K.), which gave rise - in modified form, of course - to our legal and political institutions. (Also, Tudor history is fun!!) And it's not as if today's American kids who aren't learning about the Tudors or the Glorious Revolution are gaining a particularly solid grounding in South American, African or Asian history, or the history of women's suffrage or the gay rights movement, so I view it as a lose-lose.
But boy, do I get into trouble when I say this sort of thing out loud!

I saw this yesterday for the first time and LOVED it! The humour is great, the vocals are incredible and overall the show is just brilliant. Very clever lyrics and a unique piece of theatre. I wish I could go back and experience it all over again!

Tonight’s show has been cancelled due to cast illness.
“Kenny Wax, Global Musicals and George Stiles, the producers of Six, are sorry to announce the cancellation of tonight’s performance due to cast illness. The remainder of the run is scheduled to go ahead as planned.”
I’m seeing the show this weekend, really hoping it goes ahead as I’ve been looking forward to it for ages!

Oh no! I have tickets for the 4pm show tomorrow, hope it goes ahead. I saw it on Sunday and loved it so much that I had to go back before the end of the run.

I was made to listen to some of this on the way home from London today and wanted to rip my ears off at some of it. Lots of the backing tracks sound like they are from the kids programme ‘Lazy Town’. I realize that they are going for a synthesised, cheap to recreate band but it doesn’t do it many favours does it?

SON. Did you just diss Lazy Town? Do we need to settle this outside? Oh God no, loved ‘Lazy Town’ (20 Times Up a fave) but that level of tinny synthesised backing is fine for Scandi kids shows, but not for a West End musical revue charging appropriate prices. Call me Son one more time...😂

I was meant to see last night's show. I just wish I checked here before I left as I'd not received any email or anything so drove all the way there which takes about an hour only to be told the show had been cancelled. Still, not the end world. Exchanged my tickets for Saturday so hopefully no one's ill. I will check before I leave next time. Really looking forward to it anyway!

Okay, I may need to go to Glasgow today to see Renee. I just checked Ticketmaster and it says there's plenty of tickets left for tonight, but I'm not sure whether or not I can make it through there as time and money are very much in short supply.

I saw the show again this afternoon and was glad I got to see Grace and Renee. I did find it a shame though that as Renee wasn't familiar with the new staging/choreography it meant that she stood at the side for a lot of the show and was hardly even lit. Half the time I could barely see her.

I'm destined not to see this show. Tonight's show cancelled again! At least I found out before driving through this time.

I understand that show cancellations are unavoidable but the lack of info about cancellations today on the official Six twitter account have been shocking.
How much time would it have taken to write a quick tweet?

Oh no that’s rubbish! Really sorry! Wonder what’s wrong this time cause it said they had definitely planned to go ahead with all remaining shows. I assume another queen is sick. They’re not having much luck.

Just found out my show tomorrow afternoon is cancelled but the evening show is going ahead? Not sure what a few hours difference is going to make to allow the show to go ahead at 8pm but not at 4pm?
Ticketmaster have said they will process a refund and we can buy again for the evening show. However, we bought our tickets in a Black Friday deal so got them for half price. Repurchasing them would mean buying them at full price? That doesn’t seem right at all!
