Vauxhall is a major centre for gay clubs - just hope that they aren't being targeted

Now will come the hashtags for peace
Prayers and vigils
People changing their profile images
Support from world leaders
Less than one week away from a general Election
I have not heard any party leader indicating
How they will keep their people safe
And Alive

I made it back inside, a massive challenge mainly as all the roads are blocked by the police. We should commend them as they are doing all possible to keep people out of the danger zone and still providing advice about how to get back safely. Well done, Zak. I can't imagine how you must be feeling. For those of us watching from a distance it's nothing in comparison I'm sure.

Even though I wouldn't say Westminster is far from London Bridge, it was far enough to be able to continue as normal. This, however, has genuinely made me hesitant/generally fear London. Also, if there is anyone/anyone who knows anyone struggling to find somewhere to stay I believe there are refuge places in hotel/accommodation receptions along Great Dover Street, adjacent to Borough High Street.

I am sure this post was not meant to come across like this But it seems a bit offensive Agreed. Think it's a ridiculous thing to say given the current situation I know they meant no ill by it www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-40146724This sort of occurrence is commonplace in many countries Where high numbers of people die at the hands of terror on a daily basis And the media hardly Cover these at all

I wonder where The Perpetrators Will be from And their background It doesn't matter where they're from or what their background is - what they did was heinous and should be considered heinous in any respectable person's book. I don't think your post is helpful or necessary at all in the circumstances.

It's frightening. I live in another part of London now but I used to commute through London Bridge every day and sometimes on the weekends. I have family who live not far from there.
My thoughts are with all those who are injured or have lost loved ones.

I don't think your post is helpful or necessary at all in the circumstances. We Will come back to this Once their origins are confirmed And it is HIGHLY relevant Given the recurrent nature of this sort of attack People being told randomly to stay safe Is rather pointless Unless we are willing to have an open discussion Otherwise it's like telling people to avoid getting ill- it is meaningless If these attacks continue in this random hateful fashion People came avoid being caught up in them

Scary times
Came out of Angels in America at 11:15, loads of sirens going off in the direction of London Bridge. Jubilee line running ok but not stopping at London Bridge
A lot of theatres in that area

Globe audience may well have been passing through the area at that time. Thankfully no show at the Unicorn this evening.

We Can't We just have to accept this sort of deranged attack Hope it doesn't happen too often And accept if we go about daily business There is a small chance it could be one of any of us or someone we know who is directly affected. Next time

I think it should be pointed out that official sources say that knives, not guns were involved and thus the suggestion that any shots are coming from the police.

You have to question The need for people to incessantly Film You see a lot of videos on Twitter etc of people getting right up to armed police etc and filming them. Why can't they just let them do their job...

I hope everyone on the streets has found somewhere to stay. I'd hate to be a tourist at the moment, not knowing where to go would be one of the most traumatic experiences possible.

PM treating the incident as a 'potential act of terrorism'. She is right to be cautious in her language until the fuller picture is confirmed by the authorities. It is far better to wait given the confused reports that are emerging.

And on the night before/early hours of the morning of the Manchester Concert, too. Maybe it was too soon? Who is to ever say. Whether the attacks are related or not, I can't help but feel this attack was designed to provoke new fear in the capital, but exacerbate the fear in Manchester to, possibly to scare people from going to the concert due to the risk of another attack.
