Longer it takes, the more unlikely it will be, so time is a good indicator.

Was it 35 years Dreamgirls took?

Yes, but that is a different production.
Longer doesn't mean never, just means unlikely.

Cammack has apparently said Mary Poppins might come back this year. Maybe that will go into the Piccadilly as a filler before Finding Neverland.

Why are we still thinking Finding Neverland will be going to the Piccadilly? Surely Strictly Ballroom is much more likely (I doubt Groundhog Day will transfer yet given it's just going to Broadway this year).

I would love Strictly Ballroom to transfer to the Piccadilly....it's such a feelgood show and the audiences adored it and gave spontaneous standing ovations each time I saw it (3 times) i also think it will do well as it has the Strictly brand and I also think audiences want to be entertained in this post Trump/brexit world. it did get some sniffy reviews (la Shenton) but it didn't deserve that...audiences are voting with their debit cards and it is now sold out in Leeds....a Producers dream, surely?

Anyone heard anything of the US tour version? Opening totally different (again) and it appears that some songs from the pop/concept album have been appearing. I wonder if it's an improvement.

Jersey boys finishes soon. What's going into Piccadilly? ?. Nothing at the mo! Do you think there is genuinely 'nothing' or that they've just not announced it yet ?? The rumours would maybe point to Finding Neverland but as we all know, rumours are rumours. But then it wouldn't close for no reason.

Jersey boys finishes soon. What's going into Piccadilly? ?. I know that Camack has said on the One Show that Mary Poppins might be back in London this year. Perhaps that's an option.

I do hope it is filled. I would hate to see a dark theatre there. Mary Poppins would be a super idea as would 9 to 5, Carrie, Titanic, Ragtime, Aida, Xanadu, Flowers for Mrs Harris, Newsies - but I can only dream....

I never got the chance to see it at the Charing Cross. I like the idea of Newsies as well. I thought it was supposed to be coming to London a few years ago but it never did.

Baz has said on his twitter feed not to expect Finding Neverland anytime soon Oh man, I've been looking forward to this for quite a long time. Maybe Gary's planning to cast it through a TV show.

But then it wouldn't close for no reason. There's multiple shows looking at the Picc, but nothing is booked/confirmed yet. Massive shame about Neverland though, been looking forward to it for ages!

Me too but I did think that Gary Barlow would need and want to a big part of the promotion and wasn't sure how this would work with ''The Girls' and 'Let it Shine'.
I do hope it makes it over, 2018!
Shame we don't know if a show is confirmed to go into Piccadilly- I too hope it's dosent go dark for a period.

Another TV casting show could help. And actually I hope that's what they'll be doing because it would mean we'll finally get a real THEATRE casting show instead of the boyband-focussed Let It Shine.

They'd have to do a lot of promotion for Titanic. Make sure people don't think it's the Celine Dion song sung 20 times. It's a show that deserves to do really well.

a smaller titanic tour stopping at say Liverpool, Belfast and Southampton could possibly work.
and I'm not sure casting via tv for Neverland would work. the tv shows need to be for high profile roles and shows that the general public know well and can engage with

The website still says it's coming to London this year. I hope it does. I still find it strange that it's taking so long. Sure, it wasn't a huge hit on Broadway, but it did okay. I think it could at the very least have a very decent run in London.

Harvey Weinstein's mother died and he has said he lacks the focus to mount the show in London while he is dealing with his grief, so it's been delayed by around six months.
