Oh that sounds nice, I'll definitely pop in on one of my London trips, always looking for things to do besides sitting in coffee shops before my theatre visits.

I'm intending to visit it. The V & A is my favourite London museum, thanks to its costume & theatre collections.

Love the V&A though I miss the Covent Garden one (ok so I used to use their toilets as well)

There isn't much too it.
I may have enjoyed it a bit more had I not got multiple layers and really needed a pee. Those museums are always a hassle to find an exit once you get inside.

It's not just me that gets lost inside then and wanders around trying to escape then, it took me ages last time I was there to even find the theatre bit. |

Not a huge amount there, they've added in some Chorus line, audience, curious incident and a few more shows around what's usually there and a lot of flashing lights and loud music (granted it's theatre music) that makes it nye on impossible to listen to anything on screen through the headphones. In mitigation I had to queue to get into the museum, got lost as usual and was wearing way too many clothes for indoors so that may have tempered my view.

Saw this the other day, it's ok. Nothing special and there isn't much to it. I felt the theme of it was a bit confused. Nice to see the models for An Inspector Calls and Matilda though

Not a huge exhibition, but with the theatre galleries next to it as well, I thought it was worth a visit. Best to get there at opening time if possible, especially on a Saturday, or it can get rather crowded.

It is free. We went at the weekend combining it with a trip to the excellent Cosmonauts exhibition at the Science Museum (which you do have to pay for). The exhibition is well signposted up the stairs at the V&A. My daughter is doing the History Boys for GCSE English and enjoyed seeing the stage directions written out for part of that. My son, who is doing A Level Drama also enjoyed it.

There are some really interesting things there. I loved the set models and the letter from Hal Prince to ALW and Tim Rice about 'Evita'. Also funny to see how small Judi Dench really is from her 'Tony & Cleo' costume.
