Are we watching this? I just saw the first episode and it was thrilling. Sarandon and Lange as Bette Davis and Joan Crawford are thrilling. It's every bit of camp fest you'd want.
PS- Jackie Hoffman has a minor role as Joan Crawford's assistant.

Can you give a bit more info as to where you can see it. Is it a film or on the box? Thanks

The problem with Ryan Murphy's stuff is that the first episode is always good, but then bad writing takes over and shows how he is absolutely unable to build a narrative arc. But of couse I will see Jessica Lang and Susan Sarandon in this!

I know. There will be ways of streaming it illegally no doubt, but we probably shouldn't go into that here* It'll turn up in all the usual places in due course I'm sure. * I don't know these methods, and on Facebook this morning a friend said that anyone needing to ask in this day and age "should have their internet taken away" so I'm keeping quiet

I've not seen it yet, but have been looking forward to it. There are always ways and means of watching this stuff. I remember seeing Bette and Joan a while ago at the Arts Theatre with Anita Dobson and Greta Scacchi, loved that, so it will be interesting to see how an 8 hour series will play out. They're already planning a 2nd series - the next one will be about Charles and Di...I wonder who they will cast?

I thought you'd be using the same one I do - It's called Tunnel Bear It's free and quick to connect. Recommended! And has lots of cute bear references when it's updating.

VPN's are your friend It's a whole new world with a VPN! I couldn't exist without VPN - it's my gate to your lovely BBC iPlayer and ITV (for some reason Channel4 is no longer working though, boo) and other foreign stations. I even fork out 5€ per month for that - would rather give the money to the BBC for a license

Just watched episode 1, loved it! Camp as Christmas, as you would expect, with lavish sets and fabulous costumes. A bit of clunky dialogue used to explain their back stories ("when I won my Oscar in 1946 for Mildred Pierce" etc.) Some great guest appearances from Kathy Bates, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Stanley Tucci as Jack Warner in a shocking wig. All good fun - Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange are clearly having the time of their lives. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

If anyone wants to watch this-- (though I don't know if being in the UK would cause a problem) join a FB site called TCM (Tony's Classic Movies). Put Feud in the search and the episode should come up. I hope.

I hope the actress playing Bette has a better time of it than Greta Scacchi did at the Arts Theatre when I saw it. She asked for so many lines I thought Anita Dobson was going to lamp her.

I only popped back to say how much I like the expression "lamp her". However Ryan, you owe me a new key board to replace the one I just spat my tea out all over!!!

P.s are you in Hulme, Manchester? Not now BurlyBeaR, but when I adopted the name on another site, I did live in Hulme. I now reside in the Royal Borough of Baguley (pronounced Beigeley thank you very much) If it's OK to put "Bette and Joan" on the noticeboard, I will nearer the time. Got to cast it yet!!!

It was fantastically bitchy this week wasn't it? And Alfred MoIina is doing a great job standing up to those two stealing every goddamn scene!
Loving the costumes too. Fabulous.
