I am already very happy today as I have gone through the stress on the National Theatre wpbooking systm and all the errors and problems during it and I don't want to brag but I got front row tickets for Pinocchio and 2nd to front row for network. I am very pleased with my self and als happy as it is a nice bargain of £15 a ticket!!!!

Hmm, I'm not so happy with the NT; it was as bad as last time but in a different way. Multiple errors and issues so either they lied when they said they'd fixed them, or it was something else. At this rate I'd be better off saving the £85 and just trying for Friday Rush each time - cheaper than membership and no less of a lottery than Priority Non-Booking!

Two days of constantly being 'on' between meetings and social interactions, not to mention travel and insomnia have left me drained. Will anyone notice if I just have a snooze under my desk?
Also this morning someone (before my second cup of coffee even) decided was a GREAT time to quiz me about 'what I'm going to do' when this job ends in August...it's a radical notion but I thought I might...get another job...??
Should have said I was running off to join a Convent or something.

How far in advance are Network and Pinocchio booking at the moment? I know they're set to end in March and April respectively, but are members able to book all the way to the end of the run today or are they only selling up to a certain date right now?

Should have said I was running off to join a Convent or something. A workplace nap is absolutely fine in these circumstances. Just be sure to put a sign on your desk stating that radiation has been detected, perhaps some hazard tape too just to make sure nobody snoops around and discovers your hiding place

hehe I've done a proper little chuckle at that Monkey. Given we are in the middle of (an eternal) 'restructuring process' 1 is entirely believable!

A screenshot would help. (Edited to remove everything incriminating or embarrassing, of course.) I'll try to remember take one next time it happens. Each time its happened so far I've just hit the back button immediately to get rid of it.

Nice afternoon at auction. Bought some jazz mags (magazines about jazz music tbc.) & a lot of about 40 old RSC programmes - Branagh's Henry V (& Ian Holm's), a few from the 400th season in 64, a few where it's nice to see the name Roger Rees. Oooh, Patrick Stewart in a 68/69 As You Like it.

Why don't manufacturers understand that people have limited storage space in the bathroom, and even more limited concentration first thing in the morning? There is no actual need to make toothpaste and Savlon tubes the same size, shape and colour, is there? On the plus side, the spot behind my ear-lobe will now be minty-fresh and plaque free for the next 6 hours. I'd rather have it that way round than know my teeth will be soothed from irritation with a bit of antiseptic healing.

The top floor of our office block house the office for Warehouse - the clothing firm - and they had a sample sale this morning, with proceeds going to the Grenfell fund.
So we've pretty much spent half the morning in a jumble sale, and then comparing finds/bargains.
(Clearly I do not fit into Warehouse sample sizes, but I have 2 nieces who might, so I had a rummage and emptied my purse. It might all end up at the charity shop, but hey-ho, it made a change from answering emails this morning!)

In the gloom of a cinema auditorium I recently rubbed mouth ulcer gel into my hands instead of hand cream, as both are in similar small blue and white tubes. No harm done though I used far more gel in one application than even a bumper crop of ulcers would require.

Productive day at work, productive evening cleaning and sorting the house out. Just sat down to relax a bit before bed, clicked on BBC News and discovered that my Saturday night plans are now in tatters as Adele has cancelled her gig...
Might have to wander down to TKTS later now instead...

A very rare Saturday for me as I have foregone my usual cinema/theatre trip in favour of walking. I thought the heatwave was meant to be over, but it was still very hot and humid. So that, combined with trying out some new boots for the first time (how I dread that, but my beloved old pair won't take any more re-soling as the uppers have now worn out) is the latest excuse for not managing as great a distance as I'd hoped. It was also a very hilly route but on the plus side, I'm now back home, about to enjoy my tea and Chocolate and Beetroot cake - which is actually very nice if the NT are still using the same recipe.

I went to Sainsbury's in Bicester today. There's a large "Sainsbury's" sign made from individual letters at the front of the store, and last year an enterprising pigeon had built a nest in the curve at the bottom of the middle s. People used to look out for the pigeon as they stood on the travelator behind the sign, and it was rather disappointing to notice that a few months ago someone put pigeon-deterring spikes all over the letters.
So I was rather pleased to note that this year the pigeon — or perhaps a different pigeon — is refusing to give up on what appears to be a desirable nesting site. It has covered the spikes in twigs and built a nest on top of them.
Your move, Sainsbury's.

Hope you like the new library there The Matthew....I did of course build it personally (or maybe only helped process lots of the new books for it!) And hooray for rebel pigeon!

Don't think I've ever been so British, shouting 'there's a queue, THERE'S A QUEUE,' at someone just now. Haha.

I was at Green Day yesterday too. Literally an incredible day. Me and my sister waited in one place at the barrier of the general arena for the whole day for them and it was worth every second! Childhood dream fulfilled. When they played Jesus of Suburbia I cried?! 😂 Clearly it had been a long day!
Enjoy today infofreak! I'll be sleeping in for the most part. May see Baby Driver in the cinema if I get round to it. Anyone caught that already?
