Did you get your account back Dawnstar ? My account seems to have been hacked and I can’t get it back . I don’t recall any scam type messages , but people are telling me they’re getting bitcoin type offers via my account . Fortunate I’ve got back ups for my photos . No, I still haven't heard anything back from Instagram. There doesn't seem to be anything I can do. It's very depressing. Your problem sounds different to mine though. Sorry to hear that Dawnstar, likewise I haven’t been able to get my account back, and it does indeed seem like a different cause. I’m taking a break from Instagram for a while , I was getting too obsessed with it, not healthy , and in addition not the kind of site I feel I should be participating in , too unkind on many levels .

I guess I was fortunate that I never had any negative issues on Instagram - which makes it even more confusing why I was kicked off - so I am missing it.

I thought someone had started another fuel shortage scare when I went to refuel my car, as there was a queue down the street. I tried another petrol station and that had a longer queue and the next one I tried was closed, and when I got back to the original one the queue was even longer. But there's nothing on the news so I think it's probably just one local delivery that didn't happen.

Went to get some the other day and they only had superunleaded so I didn't and now thinking maybe I should have. Never really go anywhere much but have some time off and doing those exciting things like dentist, food shop etc so using the car more.

Just been on Facebook & have got a "Friends" request from Bruno Pelletier. I haven't clicked on it as think it might be a scam. Any ideas?

Last night was Lilias White and Billy Stritch at Crazy Coqs and in the audience was Linzi Hatley. Totally starstruck as I spluttered out I grew up their recordings and Linzi was in my first first West End show ...

Just back after a 2 week cruise on the Sky Princess. Great to be in a theatre every night for some amazing shows. Phillip Browne, Ross Hunter and Jenny Williams were great and the production show 5 Skies was amazing. Some great music round the ship gtoo. Managed to avoid covid and also meet Linda Robson who gave a talk and was lovely. First proper holiday in a few years and first time out of the country in 4 years!

Anyone been to the natural history museum recently? It's webpage directs you to book free entry tickets to guarantee entry, I assume this means if you don't and turn up and it's busy you might not get in but it doesn't actually say. Due to visit with sister and nephew and there's about zero change of us getting there at a set time as they are always late for everything but obviously don't want to get there and not get in. Anyone have any knowledge please?

Anyone have any knowledge please? I walked past earlier today (and have done several times recently). There always seem to be long queues outside for security checks, but it doesn't look like they turn anyone away there. Now, that doesn't mean there isn't a further entry checkpoint, but I can't imagine them turning people away once they get through security. Personally, I would book a slot about an hour later than you're aiming for, with the idea it's always easier to get in earlier than later. If you can go for a quiet day (not a weekend or half term) than even better. Please let us know how you get on. I've considered going in but the queues have put me off.

Thanks
That is true, the last time I walked past pre pandemic there were giant queues! I had rather forgotten security checks, reminds me of the last time I 'popped' into the british museum as had a spare hour and it took half the time just getting through the back check queue.
The plan was for friday so in school time so hopefully better. Sound advice re booking, I think the slots were in 15 minutes from memory so that's very precise and presumably that's at the end of the security check so would be very hard to ever arrive on time.
Will report back if successful.

Heard a plane going fairly low overhead. I often get light aircraft flying over here. I don't often get what looked for all the world like an Avro Lancaster. Apparently there are only two of them still flying, so seeing one making a tight turn just above me was an interesting experience.

Advance warning.
Cold weather and possibly snow on the way. How do I know?
Because I have just spent the day putting away all my winter clothes, getting out my summer clothes and changing my quilt from the winter one to the summer one!

I changed my duvet from the winter one to the summer one a couple of weeks ago. At the start of last week I changed back to the winter one. At 6.20am on Sunday morning I changed back to the summer one. I wish the weather would make its mind up!

Still smiling after a superb evening at the Barbican Hall last night. Joe Stilgoe was fantastic, such a talented and funny man. The BBC Concert Orchestra and big band were also great. It was a Christmas present for my parents. They used to live in France so hadn't been in a theatre since 2019. We all enjoyed ourselves hugely.

I think I'm a bit weird ya know! I use the same duvet all year round! A 13.5 tog feather duvet! In the summer I just put it up to my waist, or like, hug it or kick it off, and in the winter I put a fleecy blanket on top of it! To be fair, my house is 200 years old and the thick walls make it cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter!

To be fair, my house is 200 years old and the thick walls make it cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter! I would die of heatstroke under a 13.5 tog duvet! My winter one is 10.5 & my summer one 4.5. They're supposed to be joined together for winter but I've never needed both. I usually get too hot in bed - before anyone tries to read any double entendres into that, I'm single & sleep alone! - so even the 4.5 tog duvet I often only have partly over me, or not at all when it gets really hot in the summer.

I think I'm just nesh!! stoke word for someone who feels the cold! I love my 13.5 tog feather duvet! I'm quite active in my sleep though so if I'm too hot it will end up in a pile at the bottom of my bed!

Am I weird to be looking forward to the Elizabeth Line, I'm a bit of a transport geek so projects like this always get me excited.

I hate the name, though. It makes it sound like it's a tube line. Also I hate the fact that it's named after a public figure because it feels a bit tacky and, given that it's a living public figure, more than a little arse-kissy. I prefer neutral names.

You can blame our current Prime Minister for that one! I am planning to ride the central section although probably not the first train because A. I like sleep and B. it'll be packed

I’m highly unlikely to ever use it either so have nothing add really other than that the trains look quite nice. There was one parked at Crewe station for years, but haven’t noticed it for a while now.
