I went to see "The Culture" written by James Graham at Hull Truck Theatre and a very fine piece of theatre it was too.

Not strictly today but early hours of Thursday morning thought I would share my experience of the NHS to show how good it can work. Had chest pains in afternoon and had not gone by evening so went to our local casualty the QE at Birmingham. I was there for an hour and quarter and was given an ECG, Chest X Ray, blood pressure check and blood test with results. Glad to report nothing serious, as likely to be muscular or some inflammation but was so impressed with the service I got.

Glad to hear you were well looked after, and here’s to a speedy recovery.

Nothing says 'professional company' like 3 back to back phone calls because they're angry you tweeted about them right? A tutoring company I made an application to wouldn't reveal rates of pay, despite asking directly 3 times (and that this should be given with application as good practice anyway) and refused to do so unless I paid them £60 for a DBS check. So having grown tired of this and wanting to warn others, I tweeted about it. Magically the pay rates appeared but now I'm getting phone calls and emails to tell me how stupid I am. Hmmm not making me want to work with you lady....

Have they explained why they want £60 when a DBS check costs £26 or £44?

Went out to a pub for lunch. Nice atmosphere, nice meal, nice dessert, nice coffee, hair in milk. I've heard of stray hairs in food but mostly in terms of customers intentionally adding them in order to scam free meals. I don't recall it ever actually happening to me before.
Meh. At least it wasn't an eyeball or a hoof.

Well it's 9.30 on a Monday morning and I've already been rejected from a job. So I'm sure that's a good omen for the week ahead.

I'd love to believe you but recent months indicate it just gets steadily worse. Even when you think it's reached rock bottom....to quote "Friends" "Rock Bottom, fifty feet of crap....then me"

Well, so far I have arrived at the airport hilariously early for a domestic flight, discovered the area past security has very few shops and cafes and that I should have settled in to wait at the check-in area, and noticed that every other flight has been delayed due to weather. Hmm. My flight doesn’t start boarding for another hour, but I might be here longer than that.
I’m heading to Christchurch today. Fortunately it doesn’t matter when I arrive. Hoping to get a little bit of time to wander around town this afternoon.

Ah I remember getting to Auckland airport domestic 20 minutes before my flight due to transport issues and still making it even though the flight was on time - they're very efficient!

For the past few days I have just kept thinking about Angels in America and how much i loved it last year and want to see it again and it is really a pice that still stays with me, sadly can't go to New York but I just need to see it again . Would love for an NT live encore of it , does anyone think they would do any soonish? Random question but just wondering .

At 19 years old I think my back is about to give up. I had to go home from a lecture today because I couldn't sit up straight anymore. Can young people have arthritis, because I've been having trouble with joints for years?
On a positive note the pancakes I made today were a solid 8/10. Just wasn't confident enough for the flip.
