With you on that one. I find buying trousers difficult because if they fit on the hips they're too big on the waist & if they fit on the waist they're too small on the hips. Manufacturers seem to think everyone is tubular. No, some of us still have proper waists. And don't even get me started on the abomination that is 'hipsters'! You mean "fall around your arse-sters?"
Anyway my day has been greatly improved by an invite to teach a session on Angels in Wolverhampton...I do dearly miss talking at students (and inflicting my thoughts on Angels on people)

I'm literally spending my whole working day at a photocopier. Getting bossed about by a 22 year old.
Yes, yes all those years of study and then 'paying my dues' are working out wonderfully why do you ask....

Int it warm? We had an inch of snow on Sunday, but today is like summer. And can I recommend www.landsend.co.uk to anyone, male or female, who struggles with sizes.

Int it warm? We had an inch of snow on Sunday, but today is like summer. It really did, we're working in an underground car park at the moment and it's absolutely freezing in there. The couple of times I was able to go outside during work felt like stepping straight into summer, it was very nice!

Pretty sh*te seeing as you ask...my temp job got rid of me in a slightly shady manner. All will be fine (it always is right?) but doesn't mean it doesn't feel like kicking this old dog while she's down and all that.
I did however find some leftover Christmas chocolate balls (steady) so there's hope I guess.

Fun work story: when my manager at my old job retired we looked up what song was No.1 when she started ....it was 'Chocolate Salty Balls' by Chef from South Park. Unfortunatly we weren't allowed to play it at her leaving presentation with all the chief exec present hahaha

And glad the cloud had a silver (or chocolate) lining!

Watched some old Letterman. Bought some fancy new DMs and saw Hedda Gabler (way better theatre than you'd normally find in Wolverhampton). Nice day.

Not exactly shocked, but still saddened to hear tonight about Mark E Smith passing away. I never got to see The Fall live (they were the sort of band I'd thought would always be around, and wasn't in a a particular rush to see), but unfortunately now its too late - here is hoping someone with more money than sense piles a lot of money into making a jukebox musical using The Falls 'hits'

Quote from myself from yesterday on the book thread: Popped into Waterstones and decided to treat myself to a guilty pleasure - the third in the Jojo Moyes, Me Before You series entitled Still Me.

Seth Rudetsky said on his Twitter that he's coming to London to do "something fabulous" weekend of 13th April. One of those "I'm working on something awesome, but I can't tell you what" tweets. Last year he did couple of concerts with Audra McDonald. Anyone wants to have a guess what it is this year?
