Someone daring to sing a MT song to appear in a musical shocker... Not the best You'll Be Back - but he had a decent technique for a 17 year old kid
If they had let him sing the falsetto section, that would have had more impact - but in a 90 second cut, something had to give

Not that these shows are ever manipulated. Not ever. No. Perish the thought! Guess depends on when the auditions were recorded. Might have been before he got the role in She Loves Me. They have mentioned other west end performers in previous episodes.

They made so much of his being Head Boy - and no mention of his long-standing performing background - a clear case of telling a certain story. They could have mentioned his membership of Only Boys Aloud or his having appeared on stage in Lord of the Flies - but no - all about school.
He is a talented kid - and can easily see how good he would be as Arpad

Callum reminded me of H from Steps. Loved his Welsh accent when he sang. Annoyed that i heard a song from Hamilton though.

So Bradley sings Bring him Home (which is far more MT than You'll Be Back) and gets 20 even though he chopped off most of the notes.
It wasn't bad - but it was not the best audition of the night.
The inconsistency is the most frustrating part of this process (so far!)

Now I've seen the previews for the coming weeks, I'm out. Nothing in there to hold my interest.

I just caught up last night and was uninspired.
Not sure what a professional performer singing with them as backing singers is going to tell us either.

Haven't really watched the audition but I have to say this week it has improved, however it is because it is quite cringe and borders in so bad its good especially the opening number. It is enjoyable and fun.

The opening number was wonderfully camp and I enjoyed the Olly Murs medley. It was the right balance between pop and MT. Hopefully this is going to continue

Still not sure quite what to make of it If you start with, "It's a pile of sh*te" and work outwards in any direction, you'll probably be near enough to the mark.

Group 2 - not as strong. Their choreography was less demanding. Vocally it wasn't special.

Pretty easy to predict who is going home before they even open their mouths or dance a single step.
It all comes down to appearance in the end by the looks of it.

Busted - what a waste of space. Doesn't give the boys any real musical opportunity to impress. Painful

This 3rd group are the weakest by far!
I loved the opening number... someone on twitter described it as Danni Minogue's bondage dream.... I'd tend to agree!

Goodness, the Busted routine is dreadful. None of them can sing including Busted.

Yep the 3rd group are sh*t. Loads of them are out of tune but even busted are not very good. I think they have categorised them into different groups. Olly- young pop voices, Beverly- more soulful ,probably Keizer cheifs more indie ,Mel- meh people and busted- the rest who are not great.

There is something unfair about this format (and it is inevitable as there is no easy way of judging 40 guys against one another individually in a reasonable period of time)
You can be in a really strong batch of 8 - and be number 6 - and still be better than many who have got through in a weaker group.
It would be much fairer to put through the strongest 25 from 40 - rather 5 groups of 5.
But it is what it is - and I can't see group 3 winning (even though it has Matt who is very, very, very strong)

Don't like the idea of competing in groups throughout. That means I can't have Yazdan *and* Alexis, as they are in different groups.
And believe me, I really want them both ;-)
