Have they announced tickets for the actual 'show' or is it going to be the case that they will never actually go on sale....??!!?

Have they announced tickets for the actual 'show' or is it going to be the case that they will never actually go on sale....??!!? Nothing as yet. How long was it back in the day of the ALW shows between the show finishing and tickets going on sale for the actual show? |

Basically I think they just want a boyband and not much else. They can justify anything by saying 'not right for this' and we have to take their word for it. |

I don't know if this was true for all of them but the tickets for the Sound Of Music went on sale well before the end of the series - I remember thinking that I would book before the frenzy once we knew who had won. |

God I hope the next Take That album is a success so he can piss off It's not out until March but is a huge success already as you had to pre order it to get early access to tour tickets! It's the new trend for tours these days. |

Just caught up with the 2nd ep - even though it's not as entertaining as The Voice I will stick with it for the sake of casting a new musical!
That Scott Sutcliffe didn't half make a total fool out of himself. Strained voice and total 'Arts Ed' fake acting that was totally insincere. It's that kind of young, cocky MT performer who thinks they're God's gift that really grinds my gears. There are HUNDREDS out there just like him who could probably do it so much better. AND to put yourself across like that on national TV for any number of producers to see that you'd be awful to work with and what an insufferable little so-and-so you are.
Wow - I really didn't like him!! Haha. No complete stand out like Jason last week.

The standard was a little better than last week, I thought but the judges seem all over the place. There seems no consistency in why they vote the way they do, I guess we have to wait until the next rounds to see a proper comparison between the contestants.
Gary's comments are quite balanced, but he was really annoying with overmarking some people because he was worried they wouldn't get through. Danni doesn't seem to have a clue and Martin just likes a good old sing song. Amber is talking sense though.
Agree that the whole project seems like a work in progress, and therefore difficult to cast. Makes no sense to have such a wide age range auditioning....

All this talk of 5 guys working together well on stage and being a team etc. etc. when we know that doing 8 shows a week for these young (perhaps inexperienced) performers will be too much and like Dreamgirls at the moment they will throw understudies on all the time to make up the band just to get through the week. The chances of seeing the original 5 guys chosen on TV will be limited to press night I suspect!
I agree with above posters the show seems all over the place - some guys clearly too old to be in a boy band, a rocker went through, guys being condemned for being "too theatrical" when it is a stage show, the marking all over the place.

Is this less of a theatre casting show and more a 21st century version of The Monkees? They keep talking about putting people "in the band", rather than being suitable to act the part of someone in a band. Is there an ultimate hope that this "band" might break out of the show itself, in the same way that The Monkees became more than just a band in a TV show and went on to have actual hits.

I mean they could cast more people from the auditions and just not have them as part of 'the band' if the public don't pick the ones Gary Barlow and producers really want.

I wonder if they will cast the finalists who don't get cast as the boy band, in the ensemble and as understudies, so whoever the public see's, they've still seen someone off the telly!

The Robbie tribute act wanted to go on as himself but was told to go on as Robbie and sing a Robbie song. Only to then be told by the judges to be himself.
This show really is laughable.
