Have to say that booking this morning was the easiest experience I’ve had at the NT in a while. Was able to get the tickets for all the shows I wanted. I even managed to get cheap tickets for the Dorfman shows and for me that never happens. I was surprised I even managed to bag an £18 row B stalls seat for A&C. Logged into the site when it first opened and to my surprise I was in the 100s in the queue rather than the 1000s which is my normal experience. From start to finish a 20min process. Thank you NT for a pain free process. Ooh you can just smell the smug, can't you?

I wouldn't judge the NT's booking experience on the first few people who get to arrive in with all tickets available and a website that isn't yet under any strain.

Ah man, after 90 mins of queuing, my boss wanted to talk to me and then I missed my slot and now I have to start all over again with a thousand people in front of me...

I’ll take the pot luck allocation. Makes a change for me!

I can never fathom why booking opens at 8.30am. Most people are on their way to work / in transit then. Luckily got my tickets for A&C, War Horse (£15 front stalls) and Tell Tale Heart. Will wait and see if they release the £15 for I'm Not Running. They appear to have held them all back for it and A&C. So maybe they will be available on general sale.

There were definitely £15 tickets for INR available today. And I saw several for A&C so I don't think a huge amount is being held back. I think they just sold really quickly.

Another painfully slow experience here, queue wasn't so bad (1300ish) but the refresh time for pages was so slow I expected to it to crash out at any point. I got tix but with the red confirmation screen "It probably worked but we're not 100% sure" - thanks NT! Still, Antony & Cleo to look forward to

(don't use IE with the National, it's no longer compatible with the select your own function) Is this only for the new lot on sale today, 'cos I just tried a couple of already-opened plays and the select your own seat seems to be working just fine for me in IE?

Wouldn't vast numbers of us simply buy £15 and return our £64 ones when they go on sale? But yes, 8.30 is not a convenient time for many of us.

I'm on version 11 as well, and it apparently automatically updates itself to the new versions whenever one crops up. How bizarre!

I came late to the party so I only have myself to blame. I have tickets for everything but not half of them were my usual £15 seats. Bummer. I agree though, 8.30am is a stupid time. 10am or noon seem more sensible.

I’m shocked people still use Internet Explorer, I switched to Chrome years ago

I only use IE when I'm playing around with multiple browsers for ticket booking reasons. I'm glad my IE is still letting me select my own seat at the NT though, it's usually the browser that gets me through the queue fastest...

I was hoping to give David Hare another chance at £15 tx but after nearly 2 hours, there was not one front stall for sale on any date. I just assumed they sold out but having unexpectedly picked up 2 x Lehmann tickets (this board is SO great) last week, perhaps there will be another chance? No bargains for Tell Tale Heart either & unfortunately at the moment my budget isn't allowing risks on more expensive tickets.

I’ve booked Ant&Cleo and the new Hare. One last shot eh? I dunno though, Shakespeare and David Hare. Just not inspired by the rest. Am I wrong?

Well, almost everything I've got booked over the next six months has something to do with the NT. The Octoroon and the Jungle next week, the Lehman Trilogy, the new Hare, Ant and Cleo and Nine Nights later in the year. I've got my eye on Enter the King if that gets good reviews. That's a pretty impressive slate of shows in my view. And next year's most anticipated new play/casting (Crimp/Blanchett) in the next booking period no doubt.

Don’t tell anyone but it appears much easier to book on the advance member dates. I’ve never had a problem.

Entry Pass booking was very smooth this morning - with three browsers open, the best I got was around 300 in the queue. Got through in about 5 mins and had no problem finding the tickets I wanted. This was my biggest Entry Pass ticket haul to date - taking advantage of the fact that I’m moving to London!
