Just bought myself a day seat for tonight...Claire Rickard is on as Fanny! Is this the first show Natasha has missed?! I believe so!

I don't think Natasha will be recorded for the CD, if I were Sheridan I wouldn't want someone who sings better than I do to sing the same songs I sing in the album.

Maybe they wanted to give Claire Rickard a go as Fanny before Sheridan returned?

Maybe they wanted to give Claire Rickard a go as Fanny before Sheridan returned? What?! It seems unlikely but it could be the reason. I don't think Natasha is ill but I think that it's got something to do with a return next week - i dont know.

I guess Natasha is entitled to a day off when she still has three months to go as the leading lady.

Hi! Long time reader of theatreboard and esp this thread. Inspired to join tonight Funny Girl is my favourite all time show. Have seen both Natasha and Sheridan and hugely preferred Natasha. Interested to see what happens next week

Originally, people stormed to the box office when they heard Natasha was on.
Tonight they may storm to the box office when they hear she isn't on.
How things change!

I came hoping to see Natasha as I'd heard such good things...never thought I'd be gutted to miss an understudy, but looking forward to seeing the show nonetheless!

I think Clare is doing great! I haven't seen Sheridan or Natasha so have nothing to compare to...you wouldn't know it was her first time if you didn't know. There was an almighty roar when the announcement was made, her family/friends I'm guessing!

There was an almighty roar when the announcement was made, her family/friends I'm guessing! She must've known that she'd be on today! Makes me think that Natasha is busy doing something else then! Glad Claire got to preform Fanny once in the run though!

As someone without expertise in musicals I have to say this was very good and I'm astonished to learn I saw the understudy to the understudy, because she was brilliant!
Also did her fictional hubby get himself injured during the performance??? He had a walking-stick at the end but seemed to be dancing freely in the first half.

Funnily enough,Darius is meant to have a cane ar the beginning for his entrance but not again really so he musta injured himself or something.

So did the sign outside the theatre say "Due to the Indispostion of Natasha" or Sheridan?
