I walked passed Darius on the Strand last week and smiled at him and he smiled back. Made my day but then I am easily pleased!

Perhaps the sun was in his eyes and he was squinting? Don't rain on my parade!

Stress and exhaustion is a form of mental illness, this is what we were told that it was, we're not making assumptions about it. It does cause physical symptoms, because body and mind are connected. It is treated by rest, initially, and then providing stress management mechanisms and coping strategies. You can put a timeline on people being well enough to start returning to work, once they've reached a certain point - doctors do it all the time. Hasn't anyone else ever had colleagues signed off work due to stress? To say someone with stress and exhaustion has a "form of mental illness" is to belittle those with true mental illnesses. I'm stressed and exhausted just reading this thread, I wish they'd sign me off work!

Stress and exhaustion can be, though are not necessarily, a mental health issue. If anyone is able to function normally then it isnt. If, however, it produces a debilitating effect or prompts the sufferer to try and hide this effect through dangerous behaviour (drugs, drink etc.) then it has become one.

You're confusing a sign with a symptom.

You're confusing a sign with a symptom. We can only read the signs and they point to such an issue. Only she could have relayed the symptoms but it appears that she had to be told to stop and seek help instead. You're not reverting to semiotic interpretation are you?

Why would you want to do that on a theatre message board?

Well you're clearly not up to speed with the thread then.

I'm gonna throw in a random question here but:
I was just wondering if anybody knew how long it usually takes Sheridan to come to stage door after an evening show? Changed tickets for an evening show and would obviously love to meet her!
Thanks

Changed tickets for an evening show and would obviously love to meet her! Thanks When I saw the show on a Saturday night in April, I'd say she took around 30 minutes to come out. I then had to wait about another 20 minutes to meet her myself as obviously it gets really busy, but she was very generous with her time and met everyone there.

I second this, sounds like the same experience I had on the Friday, day after the infamous technical difficulties show.

Maybe just say you love her or something.. Whilst wearing a tshirt with her face on it. Then give her a bag of gifts..? And then start heavy breathing until it freaks her out..

There is a huge Sheridan fan who goes to the stage door with a Team Sheridan t shirt and a huge picture of her on it!
His wife also goes, sadly she does not wear a matching t shirt!

He also had a bag of personalised merchandise he had had made such as a desk calender that he proceeded to show Sheridan! I am sure she was very impressed.
Despite his craziness he was really lovely and supportive.
