One of Obama's last tweets, regarding his pardons and commutations: "Proud to make this one of my final actions as President. America is a nation of second chances, and 1,715 people deserved that shot." Did he just make a Hamilton reference?!!! No. He used a normal figure out speech that's been around for a very long time and has also gotten way out of hand since Hamilton opened.

The Inauguration is about to commence. I'm watching for the bit when Trump rips off his prosthetic face to reveal he is Vladimir Putin on stilts. I'm waiting for that moment when he says "gotcha, you dumbass hillbilly Republicans. I'm actually a progressive". Might not happen though.

Less than 6 hours before The Donald officially takes office. How long will he remain president? My guess is approximately 1 year, maybe 2. Year and a half to two years. I suspect if he lasts four years, he won't stand for reelection

I wouldn't be surprised if he resigned after a while because he's bored and tired of actually working.

Jackie Evancho providing us with a National Anthem completely in keeping with the whole current American situation!

It's going to be a complete culture shock for him not to mention he has to live in the White House, Trump Tower can't be his second home because it's too much of a security risk. Not to mention, his Twitter account will likely be restricted as well whether he likes it or not.

Great inauguration speech today.
"How can a multi-billionaire, that has sexually molested women, divided a country through racial hatred, it proves that anyone can become president in this great country of ours."

If you just look at his history and personality, he may be the most unused-to-restrictions president we've ever had. His lack of working in any kind of government will be another culture shock. Every moment will be watched. He's had security before, but not like this. Being a former governor, senator, even mayor is a different kind of security than being a CEO or a wheeler-dealer.

"The Mormon Tabernacle Choir will now sing Hasa Diga Eebowai" I just burst out laughing in my office. No one else is here today. Thank you.

How long before bombs start dropping on Raqqa and Mosul? A few weeks maybe?

At the end of the news tonight they had someone singing the American National Anthem. Was that the version sung at the inauguration? Who was singing it?

Oh no it was a woman. Just looked it up on Twitter. Her name was Jackie Evancho. She's only young but I didn't like her singing.

Lost count. But can count that Obama pulled out of 2 wars, started by he predecessor. He's made a mess out of Syria. Well if the genius that was Ed Miliband hadn't screwed Obama with the commons vote, maybe The Russia/Trump axis wouldn't have got their way and divided and militarily obliterated the opposition to give support to Assad. The way that Russia was going to exploit western division was blindingly obvious. Now we can expect dictators across the world to be supported by the power of Trump's USA and Russia, all they have to do is claim that any opposition is terrorism.

So Trump is still using his own twitter account and has now posted such an offensively dismissive post about the marches yesterday that I don't want to repost it. The man is a complete and utter moron.
And apparently there's a bill planned for Congress to force the US to withdraw from the United Nations. Just when I thought my level of hatred (I never like to use that word about a person, but I make an exception for him) for him couldn't get any stronger... potentially almost a century of work (longer really, but I'm counting from the start of the League of Nations) towards human rights and civil liberties torn to pieces because of his bigoted ignorance...

Do you think that bill will really pass? I suspect all Democrats will vote against it, and I don't even think most Republicans will support it. Or so I hope.

To give him his due, after that tweet he does say peaceful protests are a sign of democracy and people have the right to do it. (I can't help imagining that when he typed that tweet he was drawing up a bill to withdraw that right haha.)
