So here's the whole tweet (well, 3 tweets) regarding the "discussion forum":
"Was alerted to a discussion board and it was said that my problem is that I speak "black" and not "people"....I'm so disappointed. That people who claim to love broadway or art feel the need to police what and how I say things. Even when you don't what it is I've said So at this point I am switching off and going back to the holiday that I EARNED because I work EVERYDAY. On and off stage."
It's funny how she can do quite a lot of policing regarding what others say, yet others can't...

It's just such a shame she thinks she is more important than she actually is. Talk about a big ego.

God help her if she ever gets to be really famous, instead of just theatre-famous. She'd never cope with tabloids, if posts on a message board get a rise out of her!

Maybe then she'd get the advice she so clearly needs - but would she listen?? She's got a couple of films coming up and I wouldn't be surprised if they try and get her that EGOT. The irony of that name is not lost on me, try typing EGOT on an iPhone and see what suggestions it comes up with!

Maybe you can't have an EGOT without an ego?

Maybe you can't have an EGOT without an ego? Bless her, she's only an Oscar away and three of the four awards will be for the same role. Shows how much she has done really.

Honestly, I think her upcoming film career is the reason why she's feeling she can say whatever she likes in/about the Broadway community. Pre-Tony she was sometimes a little short with people on social media but it's only since then that she's been getting into week-long arguments, rants and commenting on Broadway stuff such as The Great Comet or the Glenn Close Mother's Day thing. I feel like she's basically done with Broadway now she has a Tony and wants an Oscar so she thinks she can say whatever she likes.

Possibly the worst part of her behaviour is that she'll deliberately kick up a hornets' nest of trouble, and then play the victim when she gets a little pushback from it.

The thug with Cynthia is she has a mega foghorn for a voice but she isn't the best actor. She has a formula, same arrow pointing, not but subtext and although she is a great vocal talent - she lacks in acting. She is best at belting... interesting to see what her next steps are. Horrible to hear if she is a diva

And one of those was just for turning up on GMTV on a Wednesday morning or something like that wasn't it? Good God, they'll be giving Piers Morgan and Richard Arnold an Emmy for sharing a sofa next.

Horrible to hear if she is a diva We don't often agree but we do here. Her acting is fine, passable, decent. Nothing special. Her incredible voice carries her. Maybe I'll be proven wrong in some of her films but I wasn't convinced she deserved the Tony until she belted out I'm Here at the very end. I think all four other nominees gave better acting performances.

It was a Daytime Emmy shared with The Color Purple cast for a performance on a GMTV equivalent in America. She's not quite Julia Louis-Dreyfus even if she thinks she is

I hope, for her own sake and ego, she never wins an Oscar.

It was a group win, which was given to the cast of The Color Purple. It baffles me that some people out there pretend that it was a personal award for Cynthia. That has only added to her already massive arrogance.

That has only added to her already massive arrogance. It was also a Daytime Emmy when almost all of the EGOT winners have won a Primetime Emmy. It's very rare to win 3 out of the 4 for the same role, typically you get people who give an amazing performance in a film, TV show, stage show AND on an album, as opposed to spending a year in a Broadway show and picking up 3 for just that.

Maybe they should just make The Color Purple musical into a film and get it over and done with.

I thought the whole issue was that they only gave it to her as the "featured singer" rather than to the whole cast who performed, same as with the Emmy. It was a really good performance, but hardly Emmy-worthy...

I might be wrong, but certainly with the Grammy only Cynthia, Danielle Brooks and Jennifer Hudson as the "featured singers" actually got awards.

She is just the sort of person who would sadly attract a lot of twitter trolls if she became mainstream famous. We joke about getting a reaction from her on here but others would do it and it wouldn't be subtle.
