When I become Queen (and yes, I realise I have lots of competition for that role on here  ) I shall make it a law that you may only enter ONE reality show in your life. That is all. |

I don't know about safe but it's definitely pretty bland so far. There's no-one there to make me want to watch it so far. There at least has to be one that you think "oooh I can't wait to see how good/bad they are". Davood Ghadami is pretty so that's something I suppose. So far the selection is like a beige sofa in front of a wall painted magnolia with a cream carpet and a grey cushion. One can always hope Ruth Langsford goes out first though.

Can there be an exemption that allows celebs to do Strictly and a cooking show (I would have just said Bake Off but it's dead to me now so my celebrity cooking show fix is limited solely to Celebrity Masterchef!)? Oh that is THE nightmare for me every year too, ever since I did exactly that only to discover the lovely Brent (digger driver) had won before it had even started several years ago. I still haven't let that one go. your friend in these cases. (Apols for the off topic. But MC Aus is seriously awesome. Their eliminations are unbelievable. A top chef brings on something, for example, that looks like a perfect green apple but that is actually made out of several different cakes, ice-creams and fondants and stuck together to make a perfect sphere. The contestants have to replicate it from a recipe. Somehow they generally seem to manage it, but the tension as they try to build these structures is incredible. And there are no words for how good 'Heston week' is. And I'll shut up now and maybe start a thread... ) |

Really? Even with the nasally accents? Even as an Australian, it kinda freaks me out.
As any board member who has met me will vouch for the fact that I sound nothing like that!
Back to the subject at hand, they've just announced Aston from JLS.
I predict big things for this guy.
He can (clearly) move- dance routines in film clips, etc.
He can do a freestanding backflip and he's small, light and agile.
If anything, they may have to reign him in and re-teach him to dance, introducing disciplines.

Oh and kudos to all involved behind the scenes at Strictly involved in seeking out the celebrities, keeping their identities under wraps, slowly building up the excitement levels.
