That was her best dance of the evening. Still danced without real connection but still her best

Wow. That Samba was just wonderful. Full of real joy. Something utterly special.

That is just wrong.
He may have had a journey - but he isn't the best dancer in the room.
Claudia is better than him. Danny is better than any of them.

Well I for one am over the bloody moon. So happy for him and really think he danced the best tonight. His Show Dance was real literal show-stopper!
Seeing as Judges marks counted for nothing tonight, he obviously just won the public over! And rightly so! You gotta vote if it means that much!!

I said last week that it would be a travesty if Danny didn't win. I still think he should have won and he was the best overall for the year (by far really, probably the best of all time). However, if I was to look at tonight with a completely unbiased POV (something the judges are incapable of), then Ore was the most consistent of the night. I also probably enjoyed his Show Dance the best out of the three. Very unfortunate that Danny made mistakes in his Quickstep, but fortunately it was perfect the first time round. Mostly, I'm just glad that Louise didn't win and sorry that Claudia didn't get a chance in the final instead of her.

I enjoyed that. And now my son made us change over to 'Best Tree in the UK' on Channel 4. I think we are officially the nerdiest family in Britain. (Yay us!)

Ore and Joanne really excelled in the final - the show dance and Jive were amazing!! Having said that, Oti and Danny have excelled EVERY week and should've won judging from every week!!!! So annoyed as they did some amazing routines!! Also annoyed Oti never got to lift the trophy! She is by far the best pro dancer on the show and choreographed the most magical and unique routines!! Always next year! Choreograph a West End musical in the mean time!!! Pleaseeee

Ore was really good and joe public love it when they see someone with no dance or theatre school background. Of course Danny was the best dancer but time and again the best dancer doesnt win strictly.

At lest Danny Mac is almost certain to star in musicals now as he isn't going back to Hollyoaks!
I can still see him in Hairspray!

Have to say, I do feel a naughty sense of glee that Kevin didn't win.

I thought that was a fabulous final, really enjoyed it.
I've wanted Danny to win all along, and I thought his Showdance and Samba were outstanding, but he did mess up the Quickstep, which was a shame. I still love him and Oti as a partnership though, and would have loved him to win.
But Ore & Joanne were definitely the best on the night. They've been my second favourites the whole way through and I thought he barely put a foot wrong tonight. Their showdance was wonderful as well, and I'm really pleased they won.
Those were the two best partnerships by miles for me this year and they made it a brilliant final.
Louise I've never warmed to, and I didn't think she danced well at all tonight. Her showdance was a mess.

I really wanted Ore to win, but never thought he would because Danny has been so great all season. As Len said, he's what Strictly is all about. Yes the show is about who is the best dancer, but putting someone who is trained in stage performance and had dance training against someone who is a sports presenter and had zero stage experience isnt a fair fight.
Danny might not have had latin and ballroom experience, but what he has learnt at Arts Ed helps alot - musicality, phrasing, performing for an audience etc. Ore has had none of that and was easily as good as Danny was. Ore learnt it all in 3 months.
I even teared up when he won.
Kevin needs to sort his hair out. He's got a very dodgy hairline!

Barefoot/flat shoes in show dances.

Bring Arlene Philips back. Make her head judge. The ratings would go into orbit.

Yes the show is about who is the best dancer, but putting someone who is trained in stage performance and had dance training against someone who is a sports presenter and had zero stage experience isnt a fair fight. If it's not a fair fight then people with stage experience shouldn't be allowed to contend in the first place. Once they are, people should judge on what they see on the show, not the past experience of the contestants. And let's be real, none of us actually know how little or how much training any of them have had. For all we know, Ore could have been having secret dancing lessons for the past 10 years.

A very predictable semi final. Totally the wrong two in the dance off. Despite Danny being far and away the best dancer this series ( or ever? ) I predict he WONT win!! You heard it here first. such a shame! There you go... I was right! A total travesty!
