Lol! James Jordan and Brendan Cole have large wooden spoons in their hands which they use to stir bucketloads of sugar into their sour grapes. James Jordan is an annoying idiot but he aint wrong here! And I don't think Brendan has anything to be sour about, he's never been a Claudia supporter in his column before either.

I also have a feeling Danny won't win. The Brits do like the under dog so think it will be between Louise and Ore. For me Danny has been one of the best dancers in recent years and at times it was hard to tell the difference between him and the pro.

Brendan is still employed by the show, why does he have sour grapes. 'Cos he lost! I'm just joshing - I loved Claudia but still don't get the cries of 'fix.'

He might have been cut some slack if he hadn't cried at the drop of a hat nearly every week so far. At this point it just looks fake like everything about him. At least Ore has a personality who seems genuinely emotional to have got as far as he has done (with no previous training). Unlike the plastic twosome in the final who struggle to show any hint of personality. Ore is kinda sexy too

Eugh, I'll be glad when this series is over so we don't have to see him on Strictly again (even if he wins it'll only be one dance at the beginning of next series). There's just something so annoying about everything he does. I can't look at his face when he dances, the faces he pulls. It's a shame because as others have said he is very attractive if you just look at a picture of him. Danny to win!!!

Loved, loved, loved Janette in the pro dance. But why was she dancing with Pasha? Aliaz was there dancing. Height reasons - she's much more suited to dancing with Pasha height-wise than she is with Aljaz. Also that cage wasn't particularly tall! Plus I think they needed someone of Aljaz's height to do all the complicated lifts with Natalie.

I thought this forum was safe from all the claims of fix/fake/lack of personality that have made Digitalspy such a horrid place to be this year, but judging by the last few pages apparently I was wrong to think people here had a bit more common sense and thought better of people rather than the crazy hysteria on the other forum.
I'm sure you'd all really love it if people accused you of having no personality or of faking emotion - why on earth can people not just take others as genuine and respect that people will react differently in different situations? And that people have different opinions of particular dances, neither of which are wrong or right? Yes, I think a lot of the marking was crazy this week, but at times I will have been watching different aspects to the judges so it's unsurprising I'd have marked differently sometimes.
The tie on the leaderboard made the public vote all the more important, so if it was fixed it was fixed badly, as not having any ties would have made it much easier for whoever was bottom to fall into the dance-off. But facts like that appear to be getting lost in a frezy of conspiracy theories and bitterness which I find very sad and increasingly tedious.

I think you're missing the point about the tie, but I'll leave it as per your request.

I think you're missing the point about the tie, but I'll leave it as per your request. The point is the tie made the public vote more important, so Claudia being in the bottom two had everything to do with her not getting enough public votes (or at least not more than Louise). Ore could have still been in the dance-off if he'd been bottom of the vote, but clearly he has support.

Danny IS the best dancer on the show this year, but then he should be after doing 3 years at Arts Ed. Because he and Louise have both had stage school training and Ore has never done anything like this in his life, I want Ore to win.

If you don't think the judges/producers manipulate the result that's fine, but to me it's as obvious as anything and I think I have the right to comment on it when they aren't even bothering to try and hide it like on Saturday night.
I have nothing against any of the contestants personally, they are all good dancers and seem like nice enough people.

Plus I think they needed someone of Aljaz's height to do all the complicated lifts with Natalie. Also Pasha has a lot more contemporary dance experience than many of the other pros, and as this number was contemporary rather than Latin/Ballroom I assume they paired the two who had most experience as well as best 'fit' for the 'lead' roles. (I loved it! And I miss 'So You Think You Can Dance' and that other one that was on Sky...)
I think the right person went. I liked Claudia well enough, but she was always a bit 'meh' for me. This may be that for some reason her partner rubs me up the wrong way.
I really like Ore, and I appreciate his skill even more because he doesn't have any prior training- not that there's anything wrong with that- and I feel like he has developed (as had Claudia for that matter). If we were going on dance skill alone of course Danny is the best, and I like him. I honestly don't mind who wins but I have a soft spot for the Louise/Kevin partnership.

I've been sceptical of all the fix calls in the past but the last few years have to me felt a lot more contrived. I don't think the themes being imposed on the dances (seriously what was the point of the conveyor belt in Louise's Tango), the music getting more inappropriate, everything needing to have a story and the (supposed) comedy/activity VT's taking over has helped matters.
I think the problem in the last few years is that there's a certain group of dancers who when they get to a certain point aren't allowed to have a bad dance, getting less than an 8 except from perhaps Craig, unless there are obvious mistakes or it's a Rumba which then leads to calls of unfair marking. So after Ore's truly good American Smooth & Jive he still manages two 9's for a pretty terrible Charleston, in fact since week 3 he has never got less than 9's from Len & Bruno - can anyone truly say he's deserved that for every dance?
The same with Louise after her supposed performance breakthrough Charleston, though really that came with the Argentine Tango, so even during a Tango where she looked like she was being dragged round the floor and a Samba where she looked distinctly uncomfortable she gets at least 9's.
The same is true for Danny though possibly as he is the more natural dancer anyway (or I just prefer him!) it feels less uncomfortable but really his Tango didn't deserve 10's and as much as I loved his AS at the weekend that round the body lift did look uncomfortable but in the context of what else she has given 10's to in the past Darcy's objections seemed ridiculous. The same with her comments about the lack of connection in Claudia's QS, fine when talking about the Rumba but it just seemed unfair after one of the most exciting QS's the show has seen.
Add to that Len's occasional attack on there not being enough in hold which he deploys completely inconsistently so that it appears to be manipulative even if it isn't and the shows constant references to Ore not having a dance background, added to the whole tour thing and it just feels off even if there is no actual direct manipulation happening.

Ore could have still been in the dance-off if he'd been bottom of the vote, but clearly he has support. The point is that anyone but blind Freddie (and the judges) could see that Louise should've been bottom of the leaderboard but instead she was tied with Claudia which meant she got two points instead of one. (This system of scoring was brought in after the voting scandal with Tom Chambers, when previously I believe if you were tied at the bottom you both would've got one point, not two.) As I said, Louise should've been bottom but they somehow managed to make her tie with Claudia. As it happens the most likely way the public vote went, Louise would've been safe either way. If they'd put Claudia bottom, there would've been an outcry but this way they avoided that. Same with Ore and Danny only being one point apart at the top.

Interesting. Louise weak this week and dreadful costuming. Kevin must have thought he was def off when it was announced that Danny was in the dance off. Hence his over emotional reaction to being kept in. Louise would have lost against Danny and I think against Claudia. Why did Len, was it, say all that crap about being an Olympian and suggesting Claudia was a toughie who could take defeat? It sounded like that to me. I was appalled. Anyone could see she was really disappointed and upset. And rightly so. Her dances were better than Louise's and I actually like Louise too. Claudia's quickstep looked good to me and so without some proper technical critique I will continue to believe she was shoved into a dance off against Mr Good From The Off.

Thanks PJ - and also for the correct spelling of Aljaz which I knew was wrong but couldn't work out! They've mentioned their height difference problems in interviews. Shame - I just didn't buy into it with Pasha, but can see why he was used.

These petitions very rarely go anywhere and are mostly pointless but I think it speaks to people's frustrations that one has even been created. Take note BBC/Strictly.
On a lighter note, what dances are people hoping to see redone in the final?
I'd love to see Danny's Quickstep again. Maybe my favourite dance ever on Strictly and woefully undermarked the first time (Surprise! I can't see a thing wrong with it myself) and overshadowed by Ore's inferior Jive.
For Ore, American Smooth. Louise, Argentine Tango.

I'd like to see Ore's American Smooth but I think he'll pick the Jive. I think Louise will pick Argentine Tango. For Danny, I'd like to see the Samba again as I thought it was amazing, but I wouldn't be disappointed if they picked the Quickstep. I think it'll depend on whether the judges give them ballroom - I think it's likely they'll be asked to redo the Foxtrot that went wrong...

If Will Young hadn't withdrawn from the show, wouldn't Claudia have been in the final? (It's usually 4 for the last show, isn't it?) Three seems a bit lonely.

I think so- usually one gets kicked out halfway through and doesn't do the Showdance. I think in the early days it was three in the final too. I prefer 4...

I think Ore is certain to dothe Jive again and I think Danny will do the Samba considering it was the first samba ever to get 40 and has been seen over 600,000 times on youtube and yeah I think Louise will do the Argetine Tango too.

Ore and Joanne’s Favourite Dance will be a Jive to “Runaway Baby” by Bruno Mars Danny and Oti’s Favourite Dance will be a Samba to “Magalenha” by Sergio Mendes Louise and Kevin’s Favourite Dance will be an Argentine Tango to “Tanguera” by Sexteto Mayor
Ore and Joanne will be performing a Showdance to “I Got Rhythm” by George and Ira Gershwin Danny and Oti will be performing a Showdance to “Set Fire To The Rain” by Adele Louise and Kevin will be performing a Showdance to “One Moment in Time” by Whitney Houston
I've read that the couples don't usually do any dances from Halloween week again in the final because of the makeup etc. so maybe the judges wont have chosen Danny to redo the Foxtrot? I've also just watched him on It Takes Two saying that the one the judges have chosen is a contrast to the Samba and one he's really happy with. Got everything crossed that it's the Quickstep, as I think at the time he said it was his favourite and clearly the judges think it could be improved as he didn't get any 10s.
I think Ore has the best Showdance music and Louise the worst.

I've read that the couples don't usually do any dances from Halloween week again in the final because of the makeup etc. so maybe the judges wont have chosen Danny to redo the Foxtrot? That's not true, they've done theme week dances in the final in the past - Chelsee & Pasha did their Shrek-themed jive from movie week, but instead of green make-up Pasha just wore the ogre ears. If Danny & Oti do have the Foxtrot then they'll wear the costumes but not the make-up. I think their judges' choice must be either Foxtrot (which I suspect it will be), Quickstep or Viennese Waltz (though given their AS was Viennese-based I doubt it's that). I like all 3 showdance choices - Louise's least, but it's still not dreadful. Interesting that both Kevin and Jo seem to be doing ballroom-based showdances (Louise's could be Rumba but she didn't like that dance so I doubt it) - I think that's really clever from Jo, and I think Louise avoiding Latin was inevitable. Danny & Oti's seems as if it'll be more contemporary, but if anyone can pull that sort of choreography off it's Oti.
