Yes I thought Claudia was undermarked. I really didn't like Ore's Paso. Hated the choreography but the judges loved it - what do I know? So so pleased for Oti. Apparently Samba is her favourite dance so for her to set a Strictly record with it must mean the world. (See the Samba she did with Aljasz to Brandon Flowers which I've already posted in the thread!! ) Felt sorry for Robert as he's so lovely. I think it might be him and Claudia in the Dance Off. I forgot my password and locked myself out of my BBC account so can't vote!! Use the phone! Old fashioned technology but it works.

Nope. Won't pay until the final.

It's ridiculous that Claudia hasn't had a 10 yet, considering she's only had one 'bad' dance and two real standouts (Charleston and Argentine Tango). Her American Smooth and Viennese Waltz as well were better than a lot of dances that have received 10s this year. I think it's possible that she's the contestant in Strictly history with the most 9s and no 10s. Hopefully her being blatantly undermarked tonight will propel people into voting for her. Seeing a lot of comments about it on Twitter and YouTube. Happy for Oti too, she is a star.

Loved Danny & Oti's Samba, possibly my favourite Samba ever on Strictly and I've been watching for longer than I can remember!
Thought Louise was overmarked (far too much out of hold and was there not an illegal lift/assisted jump that even Craig ignored?), Claudia slightly undermarked (it deserved one or two 10s, but was too much of a lift-fest for my liking). Loved the concept of Ore & Joanne's Paso but I noticed the mistake. Judge Rinder's Rumba wasn't good and neither was Ed's Tango, and neither of them were even really entertaining this week.
Cha Cha Challenge was always going to just be a tool to manipulate the leaderboard but I thought it was a pretty decent effort from everyone, surprisingly good. Louise was good but I thought Danny should have won, though if there's going to be a tie anywhere on the leaderboard it's better at the top. Thought Claudia was better than Ore too but her main dance had more impact so it made sense to mark Ore higher. The bottom two were obvious, and I've just watched the backstage reaction videos on Twitter and Judge Rinder's inflated sense of entitlement is really getting on my nerves (I noticed it on the main show as well).
I hope the dance-off is Rinder v Ed. No-one else deserves to be there.

Better show going back to the basics after the over production at Blackpool last week.
Danny again of course by far the best - sensational.
Ore over marked - did not like the routine and he looked uncomfortable.
Louise lacks something and again over marked.
Claudia OK but not her strongest dance.
I think Ed and Rinder will be in the dance off with Ed going. The joke wearing thin now.

Claudia was in the air for half of that tango. I thought I was watching Dancing On Ice at one point. Not exactly dancing if you're just being swung about with your toes pointed is it.

To be fair, if lifts weren't considered dancing then they wouldn't be allowed at all. Still have to concentrate on posture and footwork whilst doing it. There was perhaps a bit too much in their routine but it's not enough of a reason to have them fourth out of six in the leaderboard IMO and none of the judges mentioned it as a negative. In fact, the only judge to mention anything negative at all was Craig.

Well they're NOT considered dancing in most of the dances because they're not allowed. I suppose if the competition consisted entirely of Argentine Tango, Charleston and American Smooth cutesie Claudia would be arching her gymnasts back all the way to the top of the leader board. But it's not

I enjoyed it as much as Louise's AT and almost as much as Danny's to be honest

The amount of time the contestants have to spend on the routines must make a difference too. I understand they are contracted to do at least 4 hours a day. If you are working your "day job" - say Judge Rinder who may be filming his shows during the day and having to rehearse in the evenings after a full days work will be at a disadvantage against someone say like Danny Mac who is not "working" at present and can devote 8 hours plus a day to his routine.

Well, yes, but they signed up to Strictly knowing what their workload would be like - their choice. So I don't have any sympathy for people who have limited training hours, rather I admire the ones who put in a lot of hours trying to get their dances as good as they can be.

No way was Louise better than Danny in that cha cha competition, bizarre. Claudia's Argentine Tango undermarked, deserved at least one 10. Louise's Waltz overmarked as well. My order this week: 1. Danny 2. Claudia 3. Louise 4. Ore 5. Judge Rinder 6. Ed Agree with everything apart from I'd swap Louise and Ore. That AT was stunning - those lifts were A maze ing! And she got a pretty dress! Not sure why they placed Claudia so low in the cha cha challenge - she locks her knees in better than many. Danny and Oti's samba has to be pretty much my favourite dance ever on Strickers. And that's including Tom and Camilla's and Matt and Flavia's showdances! I loved it and thought it truly deserved its score. Louise's turn to sit on the costume lady's Malteezers. What was that flappy bit at the top? Memories (or should that read mammories?) of Judy Finnegan anyone? I got the Judge's story and quite liked it but think he's in trouble. Ed was awful this week. Liked Ore's tango at the time but now can't remember it! I think he and Judge R may be in trouble.

It just depends on whether the public affection for Ed holds, doesn't it. Any of the others ought to beat him in a dance off, but if he dodges the dance off again , I agree Judge Rinder is in trouble. Interesting to read speculation about tactical timing of dance allocation, when the Rhumba is well known as a bad dance for the male celebs.

Oh I've quite warmed to Joanne this season d'James and enjoyed their partnership. The only ones I haven't have been Naga and Pasha and AJ and Claudia. I think Joanne's choreography has been quite clever - apart from that awful tango (*lightbulb!*) that first week that is!
