Walking distance, tony?!?! If I'd known that I'd have parked on your drive for free and popped in for a cuppa and a natter before the show. Not only that but you could have had my dad's ticket which he was unable to use because of The Knee Operation. Funny you should mention us seeing what the cameramen and video editors want us to- the celebs aren't nearly as good as they look on the telly. The pros- as you'd imagine- can dance rings around them. But that's part of the fun, as you say. But yes, very revealing. You see everything, warts and all! Now he tells me! And now I tell him! Oh well, next time, perhaps!

Of course, being in the venue meant you could actually watch all the dancing and not just the bits the cameramen and video editors decided you should see and that must have made quite a difference and added to your pleasure. Thanks again both for sharing! Indeed - much more interesting when you get to choose who you watch and there's no hiding! I agree the celebs look much better on TV - in real life both of Alexandra's dances looked laboured, Debbie's footwork in her American Smooth wasn't great and Joe and Jonnie's posture were both pretty poor. But they all seemed to be having a great time and their enthusiasm was infectious. I ended up watching the pros a lot, even when they were acting as backing dancers for the celebs. They are fabulous! Wish I could go again just to watch different pro dancers as the same few kept catching my eye, but I'll just have to be content with YouTube videos instead!

Also I saw last night while at St David's Hall Pasha is FINALLY coming close enough to me to see him (and not at all try and inappropriately touch him) I missed this but have just spotted it and it made me chuckle! In new Strictly news, they've announced a professionals-only tour for May 2019: http://instagram.com/p/BfF3KGQDF3B Professional dancers taking part haven't been announced yet, but I'm sure it'll be good whoever it is. I went to the last professionals tour about 7 or 8 years ago and it was brilliant - 5 couples and a whole variety of dance numbers both from the show and original.

Thanks for sharing poster J. I've never been to a Strictly tour as would want to know who is dancing in advance and tickets always seem to go on sale well in advance of the tv shows even being on! After reading all the reviews on here then I think I've definitely been missing out so hope to get tickets for the professionals show.

The last Pro tour was good and I would think a lot of general Strictly fans would prefer that to individual dancer tours.

But how will Dan Walker be able to do the Sunday results show? With his strong faith-related position to this, it will surely be impossible for him...

Scarlett and Nadiya would be fabulous. Distinct lack of hotties though. Someone have a word.

So much sarcasm that it can't be measured....!
Given my participation in the Strictly spoiler thread, I am more than well aware of the pointless attempt by the BBC to pretend that the Sunday show is anything other than a pre-record!

One of the producers told us on a Strictly cruise that quite a few “celebs” like to float the idea that they’re in the running for it as it ‘ups their profile’ for a good couple of months while the speculation is rife. That way they’re guaranteed offers from somewhere at least, even though they might not be as high profile...

And equally the tabloids like to make up rumours because they have nothing concrete to write. I'd take that whole list with a giant pinch of salt, the rumours are hardly ever accurate. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of them on the show, but others have either ruled themselves out or just seem rather unlikely!

Several of these fit right into the SCD stereotype though don’t they. Les Dennis the older ex comic rubbish one. Dan Walker, obligatory bbc breakfast face, Piers Morgan the twit who fancies himself as being good but isn’t, Cheryl Cole, washed up ex girl band etc etc.
Speaking of the latter, sorry love but you have not earned the right to single-name fame. You are not Madonna, you’re not Kylie so sit down.

Piers Morgan would be worth my licence fee alone. Please make it happen BBC and give him Oti, who takes no prisoners. ⛓🎣 (Where's the whip emoji when you need one?)

Maybe she’s dropped it because SHE can’t remember!
Liam Payne will probably encourage her to do it in the hope she’ll fall for her partner so he can rid of of her.

Oh no, because that would mean Oti would be out early and she's one of the best choreographers on the show and one of the pro dancers with the most entertaining personality, so she has to be in it for a long run. Give her one of the younger ones please! As much as seeing her put him in his place would be highly entertaining, she deserves better than that. And just no to Piers Morgan full stop, the man is one of a fairly short list of people who might make me stop watching the show altogether (or at least hit the mute button every time he opened his mouth). Unfortunately another one of them is also rumoured this year - Rylan Clarke-Neal.

The long hair doesn't really do it for me (though I do make an exception for Kit Harrington, who he does bear a passing resemblance to). Johannes Radebe on the other hand...I saw him first! And Luba is a fantastic dancer who is long overdue a promotion to being a full pro, so I'm very pleased for her. There are a couple of returning pros I'd rather have got rid of, but other than that it's shaping up to be a good series!

Oh hello!
Glad to see my little Pasha is still back (please a good partner this year). As I thought 'who?' when I read Chloe it's safe to say I won't miss her...(sure she's a lovely lass and all)
Hope they give little ginger Neil a partner this year though.

I'm curious about the number of pro dancers, they've lost one man and one woman, still got Neil Jones (who ought to be partnered this year and added 2 more men and a woman. That means there's 8 women and 10 men, strangely imbalanced, unless Neil is continuing to sit out the main competition, and at least one of the new guys is being hired for 'troupe' purposes, along with a girl. There've been 15 couples for the past 5 years. I wonder if they are increasing the number of competitors (and extending the show by 1 week), needing 3 spares seems to be major overkill.

There's been some speculation that this will be the year they introduce a same sex couple hence the gender imbalance so potentially an all male couple.
