Dom Simpson, who was the standby Price on Broadway left the Broadway company last week. Could he be the new Price?

I like the show, but haven't been following this too closely. Have the new cast members for the 29th January really not been announced yet?
I take it, we're not getting UK leads this time?

They’ve not announced that last few casts officially, news has just come in dribs and drabs from some of the actors agents. With regards to UK leads, I wouldn’t rule it out this time. If it is Dom Simpson (this is based on nothing other than him leaving the Broadway company) he’s a British actor

I went to the first performance of the new cast last year- the programmes and cast board had been updated but it wasn't until a few days later that the website changed *sigh*
Coincidentally I'm there again this year so will post here if the site hasn't been updated again!

The websites for both the US and UK have been notoriously bad ever since they launched. Thank you for the citizen journalism!

Still no change on the BoM website unsurprisingly. Guess we’ll have to wait for someone to report back what’s on the cast board

Strange things are happening on the BoM website. Bios are disappearing - so maybe new ones will appear. The full new cast might even be known before the curtain goes up.
Good to see producers showing so much respect for their cast members!!!
UPDATE at 1500
New cast there - Dom Simpson as Elder Price; J Michael Finley, a previous Broadway standby, as Elder Cunningham

UPDATE at 1500 New cast there - Dom Simpson as Elder Price; J Michael Finlay, a previous Broadway standby, as Elder Cunningham J. Michael Finley was also a Valjean understudy in the most recent revival. I never got to see him as Cunningham, but I heard he was fantastic and one of the best-sung (as you might expect).

Well tonight was fun!!
Great shape for a first performance by the new cast. A couple of minor flubs but nothing too serious.
Really liked J. Michael Finley as Cunningham. He's definitely the strongest that I've seen vocally-speaking, and he's hilarious. Quite different to the previous couple of portrayals, I found him to be more "normal", but it worked and his chemistry with Dom Simpson as Price was great.
Speaking of Dom Simpson...I still haven't quite decided. He was good, I enjoyed his portrayal, but I don't think he's strong enough vocally. He appeared to struggle with some of the higher parts, and at times I found him a little hyper and erratic in his acting, but overall it's a solid go.
Lejaun Sheppard and Christopher Copeland were the standouts in the ensemble for me, amazing voices!
Fantastic reception from the audience, and it's great to see the theatre full on a Monday night. There were 8 in the returns queue when I entered about 7.20!
4 stars.
For those who are interested, new understudy list as follows:
Price's Dad/Joseph Smith/Mission President: Alex Lodge, Stephen Rolley Moroni/Elder McKinley: Stephen Rolley, David McMullan Elder Price: Alex Lodge, Stephen Rolley Mafala Hatimbi: Michael Moulton, Christopher Copeland Nabalungi: Robyn Rose, Demi Goodman General: Sackie Osakonor, Lejaun Sheppard Elder Cunningham: Tom Xander, Philip Catchpole

Was also there last night - not knowing it was the new cast's first night. Loved it. It was my fourth time, but I haven't been in years.
J. Michael Finley is the strongest Cunningham I've ever seen. I want to go back just to see him! Some of his Nabulangi names literally stopped the show and what a voice! Dom needs time to settle and make the part his own, it's one thing being an alternate, but something very different playing the role full-time. He'll get there, but he sounded tired. He's nailed the chemistry and comedy already.
Steven Webb also brilliant, and the new Mormons and Uganadans look like they're having a blast.
It's really, really great to see a show still packing them in after 5 (?) years in the West End and with such an enthusiastic response. I'll be back again soon for trip number 5!

Finally saw this on Saturday after winning the ticket lottery! After losing every digital lottery in town we decided it was worth giving Mormon a go and clearly I have some sort of Mormon super power because we did hooray! (A34-5 for those interested).
I'd gone this long without seeing it partly because I was never sure it was exactly to my taste (I'm not easily offended- quite the opposite in terms of dark close to the line humour) but I'd not loved much of Parker/Stone's other work so didn't rush to this. Also a personal element of 'yes I know there's jokes about Mormons and AIDS hahaha yeah it's like Team America hahaha' gets old REAL quick.
Anyway, I did find this very very funny and hugely entertaining. We knew there had been a recent cast change (but didn't know how recent) and it shows in that she show feels really fresh. The dynamics between Price/Cunningham are really great too- some brilliant comic moments. I also loved the Mormon 'pack' in general- it's great fun in a scene to watch different ones and see their reactions to things.
I loved the show as a whole- it's a great balance of contemporary humour and traditional Broadway musical storytelling- pretty near perfectly pitched. I do wonder if we could ever see the likes of it again, and think that frankly a dose of non-PC close to the wire humour does a lot of people some good.
Personally, I'd defiantly file it under a musical I could re-visit time and time again. It's a great fun pick me up of a musical.
