Vanessa Feltz at Mamma Mia the Party last week....Spot of the century! Also there was Bjorn, Sarah Cox and Anneka Rice. Apparently there were others but that's all I saw. Why the spot of the century? You can’t really miss her. She makes her presence felt..... |

Don't know how I've managed to overlook the existence of this thread for so long, but I must say there are some skilful celebrity spotters on here.
(I am absolute level pro, but in the opposite direction: I would probably walk right past the likes of Ryan Gosling or James McAvoy in the middle of an otherwise empty street)
Does Simon Stephens count under the thread's definition of famous?
I've seen him at the Almeida during the run of The Doctor, and spent the evening wondering why he seemed so familiar. (My colleagues were all clueless.)
Of course, I only remembered who he was long after I'd left the theatre.

Jonathan Hermosa-Lopez was at Freaky Friday (Arts Ed) yesterday, fresh off playing Bernado in West Side Story at Leicester Curve. Sat right behind me, but largely unrecognised and left quickly at the end.

Fairly sure I saw Mackenzie Crook at Uncle Vanya this afternoon. Then saw Gregory Doran going in through the stage door at Kunene and the King, he had a Donmar programme in his hand so I presume he had been to see the play Teenage Dick while A.Sher was doing his thing on stage!

Bumped into the lovely Alexander Zane (fresh off the Fame tour) in the toilets at Mountview tonight (no literal body contact) and he ended up sat near me in the audience for Assassins. Very unusually for me, I said hello. Very nice guy, best of luck to him.

Clare Holman at Swive two weeks ago. When I saw her I knew she is an actress I know from TV but I had no idea who she is. Till yesterday. Suddenly I got it. Knowing her from Lewis and from Midsummer Murders.

The cast of High School Musical (possibly the second one?) filed into the row in front of me at an early preview of Wicked. Though I had no idea, I only worked out they were famous when children kept coming up for autographs at the interval....
