Maybe I can help here.
I currently physically hold in my hand a ticket for Sunday in the Park with George for Saturday 13th June.
I wrote to ATG to seek some clarification.
This was their response that I received this morning.
Dear Anthony,
Thank you for contacting ATG Tickets.
We don’t know if this show will be cancelled yet but if it is, you will have three options:
Keep your tickets and wait for the rescheduled date; they will be moved automatically once something is confirmed Request a full credit voucher for anoter performance Refund (minus booking fees)
As you can imagine, we are dealing with a considerable number of enquiries, thank you for your patience and for bearing with us at this exceptionally busy time.

Isn't ATG one of the co-producers of Sunday? Maybe the theatre, ticket and production divisions should hold a virtual meeting!

Perhaps the producers have rung ATG but been cut off after an hour on hold.
Perhaps they then tried to write to ATG, informing them of cancellation, only to receive a copy and paste response thanking them for their patience at this exceptionally busy time.
No doubt a credit note will be issued in due course.

ATG is a producer and, I believe, the lead producer so this does seem - at the very least - rather underhand. There's no way this is opening in a few weeks but I suspect as long as they can hang on to people's money...

Considering how well this was selling, I think it makes sense for them to plan for a postponement. I'm not a fan of ATG and their recent attitude towards refunds, but I would try and think positive here. If they keep selling tickets, they are hoping to actually show this, while other shows that were unlikely to come back have already cancelled (like Prince of Egypt). It's a rather small show and what little stage sets etc. were there, are in place from the NY run, so it shouldn't be too hard to get going.
As for Mr Gyllenhaal's availability - well, I'm sure it will take various Hollywood projects even more time to come back together if they haven't even fallen apart completely. He may be happy to keep busy with a theatre show while he waits for movie projects to start up again. There's also the possibility to simply do it with another lead, if he really isn't available for a longer stretch. It will be easier to refund only some irate Gyllenhaal fans who solely booked for him than have the whole thing collapse. Let's face it, it sold well on his name, but it wasn't an insane crush for tickets.

Very true and valid point Viserys - who knows how long Hollywood will take to come back. I guess the main issue is with ATG's usual lack of good customer service; all it takes is a push of a button to update all current ticket holders.

Without a shadow of a doubt call them the second the lines open (9am I think?) on a midweek day. You will wait forever if you try and e-mail or do online forms and will get re-booked, then vouchers, then incentives over the course of weeks. Sadly I didn't get any refunds with multiple communication along the requested channels. Useful fact - for a long time the call centre staff (working from home) were not able to process refunds. They can now as of a couple of weeks ago. So if you can get through, they do it there and then, and the money gets to your account within 5 days. I eventually got all of mine via this method.

How will this affect the Savoy in future tho? Like surely there were shows lined up to go here once this ended...will they just be postponed too? I was so hopeful Mean Girls was going to open here afterwards

I was asking in the BTTF thread if sets are just sitting in theatres where they were when we went in to lockdown. If the 9 to 5 set is still there, and with SITPWG not happening this year - would be great to have 9 to 5 up and running again for a few months when we are eventually allowed back in. A feel good crowd pleaser will be just what people want I reckon.

The Sunday twitter account says ticket holders will be contacted in relation to priority access for 2021 tickets which suggests current tickets aren’t being honoured?

I get the sense this hadn't sold as well as they first imagined, so if it does get rescheduled I may hang on for an offer.

Just had a look at my ATG account and found a £85 voucher for my ticket (which had been for the original opening night before the additional dates had been added). ATG are getting a phone call tonight for a card refund. Hopefully the phone lines are quiet. I’ll rebook once new dates are released but for now the cash in my bank account is the better option for me.

So when this was first announced, I kinda bought a ticket on the wave of excitement that was on here - coughed up 100 quid for top price non premium. Anyway - kept an eye on the seating plans and really didn't sell nearly as well as had been predicted so then kinda regretted it.
I'd still be interested to see it, but not at that price.
Anyway, inspired by partytentdown's experience above called ATG for a refund. Which they processed straight away which was great. Interestingly my ticket had already been converted to a voucher rather than to a performance next year - makes me wonder if plans to bring it next year are not quite as firm as implied by the announcement this morning.
