I'm not as lucky, I've been listening to Pachelbel's Canon for ages now Well, since the card I used in July 2019 has expired and the lady at the phone cannot type in my new one because she's working from home I need to wait for a call in a couple of days, a call that I suspect I won't receive.

Automatic credit note here too. Just spent 40 minutes on hold to ATG and then just as a man said hello I got cut off. 😡

Considering how well this was selling, I think it makes sense for them to plan for a postponement. I'm not a fan of ATG and their recent attitude towards refunds, but I would try and think positive here. If they keep selling tickets, they are hoping to actually show this, while other shows that were unlikely to come back have already cancelled (like Prince of Egypt). It's a rather small show and what little stage sets etc. were there, are in place from the NY run, so it shouldn't be too hard to get going. As for Mr Gyllenhaal's availability - well, I'm sure it will take various Hollywood projects even more time to come back together if they haven't even fallen apart completely. He may be happy to keep busy with a theatre show while he waits for movie projects to start up again. There's also the possibility to simply do it with another lead, if he really isn't available for a longer stretch. It will be easier to refund only some irate Gyllenhaal fans who solely booked for him than have the whole thing collapse. Let's face it, it sold well on his name, but it wasn't an insane crush for tickets. I'm pretty sure Prince of Egypt hasn't been cancelled yet, has it?

Automatic credit note here too. Just spent 40 minutes on hold to ATG and then just as a man said hello I got cut off. 😡 I have a £25 credit note. I paid £28.65 though. Does that mean there won’t be a booking fee when I rebook? I tried phoning but guess they’ll be extra busy today!

I'm pretty sure Prince of Egypt hasn't been cancelled yet, has it? I would hope not, as I haven't yet seen it But I found it surprising that they emailed me with a refund straightaway, while most everyone else was begging to accept credits/exchange for a later date, etc. - surely if they planned to return, they would at least have suggested to credit the money and use it for rebooking later?

Just had a look at my ATG account and found a £85 voucher for my ticket (which had been for the original opening night before the additional dates had been added). ATG are getting a phone call tonight for a card refund. Hopefully the phone lines are quiet. I’ll rebook once new dates are released but for now the cash in my bank account is the better option for me. I also booked for the "opening night" which they later added that extra week at the start. I still want to see it but I don't know what I'm doing next month let along next year. Plus I booked a specific aisle seat at top price and might not even be able to get it when rescheduled. Think it's going to have to be a refund for me too.

It feels super sketchy the way they are trying to keep customers money in this way.

I booked when I did, earlier in the run because my parents were going to visiting from Australia and I knew I'd be busy with them.
However, for obvious reason, they're not coming now.
I too have opted for a full refund. I don't what I'll be doing in a years time and (quite frankly) the money in my Credit Card is better than theirs.
I am lucky, I live in London. When the time is right to do so I can just pop back down to the box office at the Savoy Theatre and re-book it.

Now I am very confused, which is not difficult due to the day I have just had. Got home to read the e mail properly and it says credit voucher including all fees. Saw others mention their ATG accounts, so had a look at mine, its very confusing but I have found a credit voucher for £85 but not for the fees. So whats going on there? Also I booked with ATG to see Back to the Future. They sent me an e mail with a credit voucher but there is no record of it on my ATG account and also no record of me ever booking the show which I certainly did.

43 minutes on the phone and a lovely lady transferred my voucher to a refund on to my card. Easier than I expected.

Finally got through to customer services to get my credit voucher converted into a credit card refund. Unfortunately, as I paid for the ticket using both SOLT vouchers and my credit card, I have to be contacted at some point in the future by a customer services manager to get the refund sorted as customer services reps are not authorised to sort out this kind of refund. Anyway, apparently someone will be in contact soon to sort it out. At least when I get the refund sorted, it will help pay for the larger phone bill I'll probably have this month after trying to sort out all the ATG bookings.

Oh wow - I must have been so lucky! I got through immediately, and got a refund really easily too! They offered me £30 vouchers for the bar if i kept the credit note, but thats a drink and a half at an ATG Bar so not worth it.

They're obviously swamped for this and no doubt, other shows.

Lady on the phone made me laugh saying 'as drinks at the bar are quite expensive we're offering you...' - at least she's honest.

A shame but the right decision!!! There’s no way in hell they’d have been able to rehearse without putting each other at risk and other people working on this show.
I’ve cut down on my theatre a lot this year which is crazy so ‘splashed out,’ for this especially considering the prices were ridiculous but in a weird way; I could justify.
I definitely want to see the show but I’m just curious as to ticket prices. A part of me wants to opt for credit but then ... Are they going to re think the prices of tickets?
It wasn’t exactly selling well despite the names and it’s quite high art (I use that term to include something like City of Angels) which are quite niche within musical theatre & not like as easily assessable.
Would they lower them to get people back in the door or would they be retaining the cost they’re at?
Honestly; I hope I’m making sense here.
It’s disappointing news but I did expect it.
All I will say is that it’s a laborious process when you’re working with home without the right work set up - in ATG’s defence - they’re trying their best and if you’re gunning for a refund - fine, but just be nice to them. Customer service people aren’t in control they’re usually being told by powers above. I’ve been waiting over a month and a bit for a rail refund and everyone is in the same boat. Anyways off my soap box. Just important to remember that this situation is no one’s fault. (Obvs)

Also went with a refund. Had they offered the same seats at a future performance i’d have been more likely to let them keep my money. The whole way they don’t even mention refunds and act like the voucher is the only option wound me up enough to get my refund. Along with the fact that anyone that bothers to ring is then offered a larger voucher and money off bar/merchandise purchases. I am reluctant to book through atg again due to their dishonesty. I totally get the fact that for companies to stay in business at this time they need to keep things going but you only do that by having your customer’s trust - not by being greedy!

Many theatre does return I suspect it will be fluffy fun shows and not Sondheim. I'd love it for Jake and George to be on in London but who knows and do you really want to be stuck with some vouchers for a company that very few folk on here like?

Also gone for a refund. Following advice here phoned bang on 9AM and got straight through after the recorded messages. Very helpful person on the phone, was offered the extra £10 if I took the credit but opted not to as its a big chunk of money and I need to refund other people. Was told it could take 2-4 weeks for the refund to come through.

I phoned up bang on 9 and got straight through after the message. Was advised I have to wait for the email with options. If she’d offered a bar voucher I’d have accepted it. Straight rebooking would be my preferred option (I got a cheap seat!) but I was given no options at all, not even a face value voucher

I’m shocked. Got through on the phone to ATG this morning and asked for a refund. Was told that a decision was going to be made in a few hours time as to whether everybody would get an automatic refund. When I insisted that friends had already contacted them and received a refund, I was told that he would need to check procedure on this with a colleague. I agreed to this and then ATG ended the call. Never had such disgraceful service in 30 years of buying theatre tickets.

So that's three different responses within a few minutes this morning! Also the additional credit I was offered was an extra £10 credit, not the bar voucher as well which people were being offered yesterday. Despite being an ATG Theatrecard member and having £165 worth of tickets to refund.
