Recently, it's more rare for the public dress rehearsals to go ahead.

It's very common for the public dress rehearsal not to go ahead. I don't know why they bother advertising them. The PDR for their other production 'Wipers' that was scheduled for tonight didn't go ahead either. It's nothing to worry about.

Although I've heard it's not selling that well. Not sure if it is or not.

Although I've heard it's not selling that well. Not sure if it is or not. I don't think it is selling that well to be honest. Which i find rather surprising as it seems the most hyped about Curve production in recent times and has a good cast. Plus it's a popular show. I don't know why it's struggling a bit (if indeed it is). I'm pretty sure Grease is the Christmas musical so i imagine that will be popular though.

I'm seeing it Wednesday 20th, so fairly soon. I couldn't pass up the opportunity. I love the show, I'm a fan of Jon Robyns, plus I never saw it in the West End, although I just did this show with my uni musical theatre society! Can't wait to hear people report back on it.
When's press night for this btw. Maybe I'm just being oblivious but I couldn't see it on the website.

I love the show, I'm a fan of Jon Robyns, plus I never saw it in the West End, although I just did this show with my uni musical theatre society! Can't wait to hear people report back on it. Apologies for me being nosy, but what part were you playing? When's press night for this btw. Maybe I'm just being oblivious but I couldn't see it on the website. Haven't found it on their website either, but that information sounds as if it were on the 14th April: from www.westendframe.com/2016/02/full-casting-announced-for-legally.html

Apologies for me being nosy, but what part were you playing? No problem. I played the exciting role of Winthrop/Ensemble ('and now Miss Elle Woods, who was kind enough to send in a headshot'). I really love this show!

No problem. I played the exciting role of Winthrop/Ensemble ('and now Miss Elle Woods, who was kind enough to send in a headshot'). There are no small parts. And that's something I could never do. So do I. I'm dying to see a proper production (nothing against the Upstairs at the Gatehouse production this christmas, but this one will hopefully be one with a set and full orchestra). I'm so thankful for the professional MTV recording which I've watched countless times. Turns out I still know the entire show by heart. And if I lived in the UK, I'd see it much more often than six times.

Judging by the pictures of the set so far they seem to be going a bit 'arty' and 'concept' with it, it doesn't seem it's going to be a traditional set or something you might expect. Also with the orchestra. Generally Curve musicals have a fairly limited band but I've always thought the shows sound good regardless. I did see pics from the sitz though and the band actually seemed rather large so who knows.

Well, I'll know more this time next week. When are you going Michael? I was going to go Saturday but no seats left take may fancy (I'm incredibly picky) . I may now go the Wednesday matinee after. I hope you like the production if you've already booked so many performances haha!

When are you going Michael? Fri, 15th April + Sat, 16th April (both shows) Fri, 22th April + Sat, 23rd April (both shows) Unfortunately, I'm not free on any other weekend during their run, so I had to book two consecutive weekends. Otherwise, I'd have booked one weekend early in their run and one towards the end. I was going to go Saturday but no seats left take may fancy (I'm incredibly picky) . I may now go the Wednesday matinee after. I did book my tickets ridiculously early, even before the majority of the cast was announced, so I'm always *) front row. *) bar one, when it didn't let me book a single seat and I had to move to the second row.

Does anybody know when this "big news" will be announced? I would assume today on The Elaine Paige Show, but with her track record on such things the "big news" might be "mildly interesting news" or "news we've heard already news"

I'm hoping that it'll be news like a UK tour but I'm not gonna hold my breath!

I'm rather excited and intrigued to see how the show is staged, it seems very interesting(/odd)
