The play which despite being nominated for 12 Tony awards
Won none
If this is going to the WE It will bomb at the box office Would make more sense at Almeida RC or NT

I was hoping it would come to London but I agree it does not sound like something for the West End.

Will this be celebrating how Britain turned the entirety of human history on its head by ending slavery in much of the world?

They sure took their time with this. I found the central conceit kind of amusing on broadway, but reckon it might feel a little... dated now?

If it's Empire Street producing, it'll be a commercial production in the West End.

This'll ruffle some feathers to say the least

This'll ruffle some feathers to say the least Perhaps in USA I think much less so in the UK If anyone saw Daddy Which was admittedly a highly entertaining play The playwright lacks subtlety and is incapable of subtext And I wonder how long he can bang his agenda drum for With the same genre of play

It was originally meant to be going Almeida I think, I heard that from somebody who knew somebody who knew somebody, ages ago.

The Almeida has announced until end of November so suppose it could still be their end-of-year show, and it seems plausible given that they produced "Daddy". If it's a West End production, I imagine this might go down even worse, commercially speaking than "A Strange Loop"

So where are we thinking? Empire Street typically go for an ATG venue, it seems, so it could be... Harold Pinter after "Hills of California" in June or Trafalgar after "A Mirror" in April.
Leaning towards the Trafalgar, but Empire Street has put shows in both venues before. The Trafalgar just makes more sense in terms of scale to me.

Could Paul Mescal be in it? I don’t know the play at all but he seems to hang out a lot with O’Harris.

I’m not familiar with this play at all but Jodie Comer posted it on her Instagram stories earlier today. She doesn’t have much in the pipeline and I saw an interview recently where she said she was currently ‘unemployed’.
Of course she could have just posted in support of the producers after Prima Facie.
