People do realise ATG is a commercial business? I'm not defending them using dynamic pricing but they've done this for other shows so it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

I'm not having this, I'm sorry. It feels like excusing them when they deserve censure. To charge people £50 for membership and then lump them in a general queue is a scandal. To then be so sh*tty as to then pause the pre-sale queue to bump up the prices is just disgusting, I don't care about commerce. It is just disgraceful.

Agreed. Well done ATG 👏 Thought we were trying to get more people *into* the theatre not drive them away.
Goodness knows how Gen Z must feel, where a good chunk of Tom's fanbase lies. Yes there's the under 30 tix, but they will be/have been eaten up in no time, leaving many in the dust. Do better.

Oh to return to the days of preprinted physical tickets that were sold at fixed prices.
I remember going into WHSmith Travel Agents and getting two tickets for Les Mis as a present for my parents. £7 each.
Ok that was close to 40 years ago. But it is easy to see how attractive the return to simpler times can be!

Message below the queue position updated again (at 13.58) to say only single tickets remain now…

ssssh ATG, don't tell everyone, I want 2 of those! That’s what I was thinking! Queue now seems to have paused again - perhaps they’re marking up those last remaining singles…

Those 5,000 tickets will be hard to administer to make sure they end up in the right hands. I can only see them being sold in person at the box office, showing ID that you also have to present at the performance. When they go on sale, expect a queue stretching across the Thames...

For Sunset Boulevard it was just a link on the website that went live at a certain time inserting a promo-code into the ATG website.

I can’t imagine they’ll do an in person sale, they’ll follow what they did for Sunset which unfortunately was not policed very well.

Typically for the NHS tickets do all the ticket holders need to be NHS staff? I'd like to purchase for me and my mum. I know for <30 ones you usually do, but I've sadly aged out of that now.

I’ve kinda had my fill of Jamie Lloyd, but he does have an annoying habit of casting actors I’d really like to see. But as ever, goes on sale when I’m in work, so will probably miss out. It’s a 3 month run, I’m sure it won’t entirely sell out right when tix go onsale. I would like to point out my stupidity in what I wrote lolol

Unprecedented, and they haven’t even announced Timothee Chalamet as Juliet yet.

Tom Holland has proper fangirl-fanbase. I don't think there's anyone else with that kind of base, I think not even Chalamet, who's not done the kind of massive crowd-pleaser like Holland's Spiderman movies.

Timothee Chalamet also sold out in hours his expected run in 4000 at the Old Vic pre-pandemic. Top prices were around 90£, those were the days

Of course Chalamet is a massive draw. But so did Mescal, but I don't think we can say his fanbase is quite as big as Holland's.

Sold out. A Little Life sold out several times. Wouldn’t be surprised if they find some extra tickets here too.
Got to the front of the queue about 11.10. Then couldn’t get a proper signal, so took nearly half an hour of trying. Absolute joke them making people queue for four hours then start again for the general sale
Got one on the end of a row, sold as restricted view. Think it’s more or less where I sat for Shirley Valentine, and saw most of that OK. Hoping since Jamie Lloyd doesn’t do sets anymore that most stuff will be staged centrally anyway.
