Looks like they’ve dropped the prices for tonight. With the return visit code applied, you can get Row G seats in the dress circle for £30 (they were previously £50). Annoyed I can’t make it! Hoping they keep the code active for a while longer…

Just to point out that although the prices have dropped, (this morning they dropped and appear they've dropped agai) its not quite as good deal as it first appears. They've changed the colour of some seats, so it looks like more premium seats have been reduced than actually have.
For example mid morning row f and g seats were blue £87.50, now they are green (premium price band colour) 87.50. Same price but makes it appear like a better offer as now 'premium' colour

They do this across all ATG productions with changing the colours. I don’t think it’s as deep as that. They’re still reducing prices.

I never said it was 'deep', but it is a a deliberate sales tactic to make something appear better value. If it wasnt theyd have just left them as originally coloured.
Tkts have some great £245 seats reduced to £70 today

Annoyingly I booked my £30 seat for tonight this morning, all the way back in Stalls Row O. If I've held my nerve, I could have been in Row M!
Some very nice £30 seats there for anyone who can go tonight, especially the central Dress Circle ones.

And they aren’t necessarily consistent from performance to performance, it’s just a “key” to show how much each seat costs. I don’t get the issue.

How are the temperatures at the theater these days? I have experienced both atlantic colds and scorching heats in the West End. Got a seat in the dress circle for tomorrow.

At first preview in dress circle it was really hot but on Monday last, sitting in the same seats, it was a lot better. I'd take layers if I was you.

Maybe we should change this thread’s name to ‘Rate my Sunset seat choice’ 🤣

Agreed.
We need a separate thread area for ticketing/seating issues as these conversations get tedious and make the thread all but obsolete.

But if they relate to a) obtaining tickets for the show named in the thread title or b) to the venue in which the show is currently playing, surely they’re relevant?

Agreed. We need a separate thread area for ticketing/seating issues as these conversations get tedious and make the thread all but obsolete. This could be applied to multiple things in this and every thread on here.

Perhaps, but discussing artistic values and impressions of a show is a far cry from a chat about how much one paid and where they sat in the theatre. Yawning as I typed the latter part of that sentence.

I very much enjoyed this last night. There are enough differences with Rachel Tucker to make this interesting, of course she also sings and acts wonderfully.
Have to say, it was so much nicer seeing this from the Stalls. There were people I recognised in the cast who I hadn't realised were even in the show.
We had a show stop about 15 minutes from the end of Act 1 with some very bad microphone crackling. Thankfully, the rest of the show went well.
Looking at the number of musical theatre people in the audience, I presume they have ways and means to bring them in on a Monday. It did make for an appreciative audience (and very little annoying behaviour). I seem to be seeing a lot of musical theatre stars (in and out of work) randomly walking around the West End recently.
Next challenge, to try and get a reasonably priced seat near the front.

Question - is the production more or less in the back of the stage or is it more front of stage? Trying to get a ticket for a friend in the upper circle but safety rail will be in the way.

I mean at that moment specifically. There’s a gun in the start of act 2 camera sequence in the dressing room and I remember hearing gun shots before Joe’s death during the “chase” on stage but the death was sounds of Norma eating or biting and flashing lights and Joe screaming Just to go back to this as I’m someone who needs to know in advance of gunshots/loud bangs, there are no gunshots. There’s a noise that isn’t quite a bang, then there’s screaming and moaning then there’s another ‘bang’ and we see Joe covered in blood, then it goes dark again but the bang isn’t a gunshot; it’s more the sound of lights/things powering down. I can’t remember if they kept the confetti cannons the cast set off in act one, i’m sure they did, but anyway those are louder than this noise

I'd say it's more to the front of the stage but with a huge LED screen that comes down at an angle. I've not sat in upper circle but you might struggle a bit with the view if right at the back.

I would definitely say it’s more towards the front. I sat in row b of the upper circle and that damned rail was in my eye line pretty much the entire show. My view was also obscured by the people in row a leaning as far forward as possible to avoid it themselves. I also found it extremely distant, which might be an obvious thing to say, but I don’t think i’ve ever been that far from the stage in all the upper circles I’ve sat in (which is a lot because I’m cheap!) Going back tonight in the stalls so hopefully I’ll have a better experience!

Has anyone who qualified for the key worker tickets had any experience yet with showing ID - did they ask to see it like it states on the website?

I work in food manufacturing - my ID for work is a blank card with my name on, so doesn’t state I actually work there - so just debating if I need to go to the effort to get a letter that states my employment or not.
