Presume you won't be so keen if you are the one sitting behind the hipster with the man bun.
But on a cast note superb to see Tom Francis as leading man. Just a couple if years from his wonderful turn as Roger in the hope theatre Rent production which got streamed mid covid lockdown. He gave a great performance as Roger keeping all the characters aspects but putting his own slant on the role where most give a clone copy of the original. Will be interesting to see how he handles the life worn down aspects of Joe Gillis which is needed for the plot but also for the first time the hint of actual sexual tension between him and Norma as the rehearsal pictures show they are quite compatible as a couple.
If it wasn't for the director and his track record this would have been must book. Planning to see but when up for something else and use it as a tie in.

I notice that on the official website the running time is stated as 2 hours including a 15 minute interval. It was 2 and a half hours for the touring production starring Ria Jones & Danny Mac
Seems a big cut if correct.

It was 2 and a half hours for the touring production starring Ria Jones & Danny Mac Seems a big cut if correct. Always so hard to tell until opening night. But yes, cuts have been made in this production. To the script, the score, the orchestra, the set… The set (!!!!) what there is of it. Look. This production is what a Jamie Lloyd production was always going to be. Accept it and book and enjoy - knowing in advance what Jamie Lloyd’s productions are - or book and don’t enjoy - and have yourself to blame. It’d be like seeing a Tarantino film and complaining about the swearing. This is Jamie Lloyd’s Sunset Boulevard - expect that. Nothing more or less.

Interesting comment someone made about them essentially just using this offer as a smokescreen to sell seats when it’s not booking brilliantly. That was me. Call me cynical but we're only two weeks from opening and it's not looking that full...

Call me cynical but we're only two weeks from opening and it's not looking that full... That was my first thought, too, tbf If it had come from the generosity of Jamie Lloyd's and ALW's heart, it would have been announced much earlier.

That was pretty simple. No queue and got 2 front row for Mon 6 Nov for Rachel Tucker. Hope everyone eligible was able to get tickets for the show they wanted. Just go to the ‘Book Now’ button at the bottom of this page: sunsetboulevardwestend.com/exclusive-seats/

It was referenced (with the 5,000 tickets info) when the show was first announced. They've just not put it on sale until now.
Just booked for the final night - stalls front row (B) - so I've got a spare front row upper circle ticket available for that night now if anyone is interested (£37.50 / Sat 6th Jan). And hopefully my Blue Light Card will be acceptable ID!
The dates I checked seemed to be offering the front row of the stalls, and a block of three rows in the rear dress circle. No mention of stalls front row being a restricted view or 'needing to look up' so hopefully it'll be a good view.

I’d already booked a full price seat for this but I can’t say no to £20 front row seats. So that’s me seeing this twice. Just hope it’s good!
Nicole Scherzinger was on the radio just now and seemed to hint that this will be exactly what you’d expect from a Jamie Lloyd production (!), but to be honest I’d be happy to see it twice for her voice alone.

Lovely and painless, got a nice dress circle seat for Tuesday the 26th of this month and then a Row B stalls seat for a Rachel Monday in October.

Can't believe how easy that was! Straight in, and two front row seats secured for an early preview at £20 each.

Got 2 front row for a Rachel show. Not eligible myself but with my sister able to bring me as her +1 (teacher), I'm feeling very lucky.

The stalls £20 seats are the new front row (B), nowhere else in the stalls at present. Otherwise it's half of rows H and J in the dress circle.
No queue and just some sold from the front row so far. Got the weekday matinee there during half term for teacher daughter and her mum and a November evening for son NHS worker and me, interchangeable if anyone is ill so very happy.

Got my 2 tickets in row D - the friend who I'm going with is a Mental Health residential facility team leader. We'd already talked about seeing Sunset, but she was baulking at the prices, so this couldn't have come at a better time. She is going to show her "blue light badge" on the day, so hopefully that'll be sufficient?!
Or maybe she needs something with her name/photo on....

No photo though, but the Sunset website doesn't stipulate photo ID. In my experience of using the card in a retail store, if they want to make an additional check, they normally ask you to show another card (debit or credit card for example) in the same name. To be extra confident your friend can prove she's the BLC holder, she could take a driving license or passport of course.
