Does anything sell well in advance anymore? I'm judging from NY and pre-pandemic maybe only Hamilton or a few shows that had some celebrity attached to it were generally selling out/limited availability prior to opening. After the pandemic, as of late, the only show where advance ticket sales were crazy was Phantom once it announced it was closing. Just out of curiosity, I checked and there's about 100 tickets available for Hamilton on this Saturday which would've been unheard of before.

Still waiting to hear if the stage will be completely dark except for each actor holding a lighter under their face to represent the flickering passage of time or whatever he’ll say it represents. Well there is no set so let’s hope there at least some lights onstage

Noticed there’s more seats near the front appearing on the website now (direct with ATG) - but of course as it’s them they’re at crazy prices - for the handful of dates I looked at in Sept and early Oct they’ve hiked the centre front row of the dress and some premium centre stalls to £245! Seems crazy given it’s generally not selling that well - you’d have thought the prices may start going the other way. Amazed I got centre row C For £87.50 when it went on sale and they’re now asking £175 for the ends of the row. Greedy buggers.

Well there is no set so let’s hope there at least some lights onstage There weren’t at “A Dolls House” - people regularly fell asleep because of how dark it was, if you weren’t up close. We joked how they should have held lighters up to let people know they were still onstage.

Possible this transfers to Broadway, fall 2024 with Nicole. It's apparently written into her contract. Because that *always* goes well with this show…

I have to say ever since getting the LondonTheatreDirect marketing email describing it as a concert performance, I’d be happy to see that rather than a plywood/IKEA set compared to the original.

Evita revival is coming and with Phantom most likely coming back as well, Broadway will see multiple ALW shows running again. I bet ALW saw the words “sunset Boulevard”, “Broadway” and “contract” and tried to jump in the nearest swimming pool

Is the Jamie Lloyd Evita that was at the Barbican going to Broadway or another version?

Thinking back to that, and how annoyed ALW apparently was at the time over her making that decision, it’s interesting that he’s forgiven her sufficiently to collaborate on this new production of SB…

But no, they want the American Repertory Theatre´s (Dreadful) version of Evita for Broadway. Directed by Sammi Carnold.

He’s always gone on about how much he loves her voice. So few artists must say no to leading one of his shows I wonder if that made him want her in one of his shows even more lol.

Is the Jamie Lloyd Evita that was at the Barbican going to Broadway or another version? The ART production. Rumoured casting at one point was Rachel Zeglar, I believe someone pointed out that she was putting Evita lyrics in her Instagram/Twitter bios but I think she's taken it down. Not sure if she is still doing it or not.

Rachel Tucker has just been announced as alternate Norma! Monday evenings and other select performances TBC.
The tweet says ‘head to the website’ for her performance schedule but I can’t see it on there just yet. Definitely Mondays though…

Michael Ball has just done the same thing with Aspects of Love.

WTF? Another way-too-young casting choice. This is wild y’all.
Did they declare when bookings opened that NS wouldn’t do Mondays? Really bad if they didn’t.

Definitely Mondays though… Her first performance is Monday, October 12th then every Monday after that. As I predicted when Nicole was first announced, they’ve given us a powerhouse of an alternate which causes issues for those of use who live in North Scotland. How the hell am I going to get down to see both of them in the role without seeing the show twice in one day?!

Yes, they did say NS wouldn´t be doing Mondays. Both at ATG and the production website.

I don’t understand how a two day break helps ones voice recover better than splitting the week up so you get 2 breaks? Or have her & her rugby boyf got some Warner Breaks booked?
