Saw this today and really enjoyed it! It's silly and cheery and has superb wheelie chair choreography!
Found it very funny and also sweet at times with the friendship between Kathy and Stella. Thought all the cast did well and clever how staging changed from the garage into the morgue etc.
But boy is that stage HIGH! Really don't remember it being that high last time I was there, but that was about 3 years ago!

Maybe it's best to say NOW on this thread that maybe book somewhere not in the first 5 rows. Because God, that stage is high!!!!

I was in Row D of the stalls, could not see feet and one moment when a character was laying down briefly.

I’m in row B next week and a bit worried… I was in row B (second seat from the end at stage left) and it was fine. Just couldn't see feet. I was looking up, but didn't feel I was having to tilt my head back. I would sit in B again anyway (though I'm in D next week and will be interested to see the difference)

I sat in row L because I had seen photos of how high the stage was and wanted to be as far back as reasonably possible, and the view I got was great. I wouldn't sit any further back though as the overhang of the circle above may start impeding the view.
I'd say anywhere between like, Row E and L at the Ambassador's in the stalls is fair game if you're wanting to see it all.

Went last night for the first time. Wasn't sure what to make of it in the 1st act but the 2nd act solidified it. Really enjoyed it and it's something a bit different plot wise!
The vocals in this show are a dream to the ears, especially Bronte Barbe and Rebekah Hinds. Imelda Warren-Green was a stand-out for me with that crazy performance!
Hannah Jane Fox is obviously fantastic although I did find her diction to be not great especially in the songs that that are fast-paced. All the words merged into one whilst I was trying to keep up with the plot.
Anyway, it was fun and I really liked a lot of the music, shame all the numbers aren't on Spotify!
I would go again - 4* from me.

Am at interval. As others said, stage is insanely high. Will try to upload photo later. Sound also is too loud and mix isnt great. The Ambassadors isnt big enough to require amplification. But enjoying the show

It's not the right venue for the show.

The show is a trifle. Entertaining but not a "can't miss", in my opinion. A cross/inspired/ borrowing of Romy & Michele with Only Murders in the Building (Second Season). I think it shows its fringe origins. There was a lot of mugging on stage by everyone other than Kathy/Stella. (Y'all call it "mugging" when actors exaggerate facial expressions especially when reacting or not speaking?) The songs were fine, but nothing that really stood out. We had the alternate or US for Phylicia Taylor et al and I thought she was terrific in the role(s). In some ways, this reminded me of "The Other Josh Cohen" - I don't know if that has ever played the UK. Since I can't figure out how to upload the photo, I posted it on Twitter/X and here is the stage (I was in row H). x.com/theatreflats/status/1803727578374479962

Is there a cast recording for this? There's an EP with a couple of songs of the FRINGE/tour cast.

But enjoying the show I was avoiding nitpicking the audio in my short review because I worried I would seem too pretentious, but yeah there's a lot of mixing issues especially concerning intelligibility of voices. And I don't think its the actors. The drums especially come thudding through at times and overpower everything.
One more annoying point... all the songs are phenomenal and stay in my head but...
Maybe it is the producer in me... some of those synth presets are truly criminal. We carrn't be using therr "Ice Rain"/"Crystal" Yamaheer Motif keyberrd patch in 2024!!!

Eventful evening this one was.
Three understudies on, all of them great. Then a technical problem which stopped the performance in the first act for 12min. And at the end a wonderful Q&A with Phoebe Waller Bridge interviewing the producer of the show, Francesca Moody.
A very entertaining night at the theatre!

Do Kathy and Stella have covers? Yes! Jen and Chelsea cover both Kathy & Stella, then each cover separate ensemble tracks too.

This boy from Beverley found the whole evening underwhelming. The second half was long and we struggled to hear quite a few of the lyrics.
Meh.

Caught this yesterday afternoon - last minute ticket after my matinee of Passing Strange was cancelled. Got centre Row B dress circle for £25. Perfect view. I'd been wanting to see this having previously seen the original Edinburgh run when it was in-the-round in the Paines Plough tent. I wasn't a huge fan of it then, but I did love Rebekah Hinds and Bronte Barbe, plus a few of the songs. So I was curious to see how it's developed over the past couple of years.
The good news is that it's much better. The score is strong (Kathy and Stella, Part of the Story, If I Didn't Have You are all great songs) and the two leads are once again brilliant. It's well staged, and definitely benefits from more defined locations through having an actual set.
The sound, as others have mentioned, is iffy - especially Felicia. But I don't think we can pin blame on Hannah Jane Fox, as the cover (Sorelle Marsh) was on yesterday afternoon. Her opening number was almost intelligible though it did improve. I loved Marsh's characterisation - just a shame some of the lyrics were indecipherable. The plot makes more sense than it did in Edinburgh (back then it was 70mins), but I still found parts of the whodunnit muddled.
That said, well worth seeing, and it's very different to all the other musicals currently in the West End.

Saw this tonight. Really enjoyed it. The sound was OK for me. Is there a merch store online? I wanted ‘See You Next Murder’ on a t-shirt but didn’t seem available.

They sell Tshirts in the theatre, just opposite the doors, next to the box office. Not sure if they're out before the show, but definitely at the interval, I bought one last week. I got the blue Murder Gang one (that the ushers wear) and they also had black ones. I didn't look at those so closely, but I think they had Guilty As Sin written on the front.

Sorry, just realised you might have seen the tshirts for sale ine the theatre, just not the one you wanted! Yeah exactly. At the upstairs bar, they told me ‘See You Next Murder’ was available as a t-shirt but then at the downstairs stand they said it wasn’t available. I just wondered if it had been available and sold out or never existed.
