Any more word on what the big play opening after Noises Off might be?
[This should probably be in General, sorry!]

Well it’s definitely NOT going to the Phoenix that I know. A huge new play is booked to go in there next year. Is this new play likely to be announced before the end of the year, mrbarnaby? Any further clues you are able to give us at this stage?

I've heard it's got another house booked from late Spring Into the Woods or the play that was linked to the Phoenix? Could Into the Woods fit in the Apollo?

Is the play The Shining?

Into the Woods is categorically not having a further life. There wasn’t enough interest from London theatre owners. The play going into the Phoenix has (potentially) an audience as big as Harry Potter. It will be a very hard ticket to get I’m sure. It isn’t that Game of Thrones play that’s meant to be in development, is it? Think it was rumoured for Broadway but it’s been a while since any news

Should we just put all the 'new play in The Phoenix' chat in a separate thread so as not to confuse people?

Must say, a Game of Thrones play would hold no appeal for me at all, even if it was directed by Dominic Cooke, but I appreciate I would be very much in the minority!

I think the Shining was meant to be autumn at Harold Pinter, wasn’t it?

The Pheonix seems a bit small for something GOT based, a certain epicness and scale would be expected. Costumes alone would be big id have thought, with armour etc.
But yeah I'd definitely be interested in it and a HP fan base narrows it down to that, LOTR or Star Wars

GOT play? Hmm. Yeah you’d want a big space wouldn’t you. Like the Dominion. Especially to stage a tourney etc.

Could be that Stranger Things play that was announced to be produced by Sonia Friedman?

No interest in Game of Thrones or Stranger Things. Clips on Gogglebox serve only to make me wonder what people see in some of these American tv programmes.

I'm thinking it's the Sonia Friedman Stranger Things play going to the Phoenix.

If there's a Stranger Things play, TAKE MY MONEY. There has been one running in the Vaults for a couple of months now.

Yeah I have been tempted by this but some of the reviews put me off.

Interesting; two shows heavily linked to the Phoenix and neither going ahead there now (Into the Woods, Stranger Things). I wonder what will eventually go in after Noises Off.

Maybe Into the Woods will go to the Phoenix now afterall (with a future life hinted at the other day on twitter). For Stranger Things, if it needs a fairly large venue then the Savoy may be the best option, or Gielgud? Who knows.

The poor Phoenix. With productions constantly getting swapped about. Next we'll hear 2:22 A ghost story will be transferring there with *INSERT NOW-IRRELEVANT POP STAR WITH QUESTIONABLE ACTING ABILITY HERE* starring.

Mostly joking, but wouldn't surprise me if this was the case. It needs to complete its London tour!

I don’t doubt you have insider knowledge, but so do others, and as the recent will they/won’t they transfers of Doubtfire/Crazy For You/Tammy Faye prove, plans change.
