My friend got one seat so must just have been lucky as I couldn't find any!

Don't know if just luck but for those struggling it might be worth trying again. I forgot so just logged on now. Said I was queue number 12250. Wait time one minute and got through and bought tickets without any gitching and have received the confirmation email!

I went to watch this tonight for the last show in Nottingham before it goes to Ally Pally. I thought the set was excellent- perhaps the best I've seen at The Playhouse - and some of the special effects were good.
Otherwise though I found it quite boring. I haven't seen it on stage before but obviously know the story but just thought it was a bit flat. I didn't rate Keith Allen either.
The audience however seemed to love it so perhaps it is just me. Bah humbug!

It's interesting that DEH's tour is being done by a regional theatre and not the original producers. Yeah, ATG are also co-producing it

It's going to be quite the year for Nottingham Playhouse and Adam Penford. The world premiere of James Graham's The Punch in May, then this new production of Dear Evan Hanson in September. Oh I'd missed it being James Graham, interesting! It is certainly a more exciting year than usual. They also have a co production of Minority Report by David Haig and The Trials that was seen at the Donmar last year!

I actually don't mind the artwork. I think they've gone for a Heartstopper vibe.
Interesting to see it is a Nottingham Playhouse production as they don't do loads of musicals

I wasn't going to book this but given what many have said on here, finally bitten the bullet. Managed to book for the last show for a reasonable (well not really but in comparison to what is left in the stalls) price. Excited to see it now.

Easy booking process. Compared to other shows pleasantly surprised by the ticket prices!

I think I might be off to Plymouth. Top price seats £65 rather than £175 at the Dominion. Bargain!

Easy to get through to the booking page straight away now. Albeit I saw the prices for half decent seats and have decided against booking yet!

The advert on Facebook says "18 years since first opening in London"... Am I going mad? It opened in 2009 didn't it? It was definitely 2009! I thought so. How could they not get it right...

This doesn’t look good at all. Guessing it’s sold out so doesn’t matter really, except for Ken’s ego. Yep albeit isn't it transferring for an Autumn 2024 season somewhere in New York?

Gracious Nothing other than the dreaded 3 stars so far Guardian WOS Telegraph Independent Time Out NYT states it is “shallow” Not ideal for a great Shakespearean actor really 3 stars from WhatsonStage too with the final line 'The only consolation is that he is tackling it so early, he can always have another go.'... The Daily Mail meanwhile has given a brutal 1 star!

I can’t give this all those stars , Steve. It just wasn’t that good for me. I liked the pace, the stark setting was interesting with its turning wheel references, the costumes just too dreary for me. I mean this is a kingdom we are fighting for here, lads. No sign of it. The young actors didn’t cut it for me. They were not grounded enough, they need to dig in, breathe, connect with the audience more. Edmund had a good go at this and I’d see him again. Gloucester being older, managed this. Kenny was workmanlike, not great. With luck, I might see his second go in a few years’ time. The trouble is, these days with our longevity we expect ‘old’ to mean 80s and seeing Kenny’s nice - he’s been to the gym- body didn’t cut it for me. ( in another way, it provided a pleasant distraction ) No great insights. Nothing thrilling. They all spoke clearly but I’m not sure they all understood what they were saying. 3* for me. Largely how I felt. It was fine but not great. I love Lear but my mind wandered quite a few times

Weirdly on Twitter they keep responding to ask people to DM them, not to say it wasn't being sent at 10. I've DMd ATG and the play's account as requested but no reply from either Both have now responded with the link so any issues just DM them!

I thought I was going mad when couldn't find a thread for Hamilton but turns out there have been no posts for six months so it is really far down the list!
Saw it for the first time since 2018 last night. Really enjoyed it and sat in good stalls seats for the first time.
I wonder if there is some cast illness, it turned out nearly all the lead roles had understudies on: Hamilton, Burr, Mulligan/Maddison, Laurents/Philip, Angelica, Peggy & Eliza.
So only leads on were for King George, Lafayette/Jefferson & George Washington.
Is this a record?! Anyway, it mattered not as they were largely excellent and really enjoyed the show again. I'm sure most the audience wouldn't have known understudies were on and a great reminder of how good they are!

Wasn’t a new production hinted at in Manchester? Yes, there is a thread from July about this!

Took ages to get through to book but got seats. Agree about prices. Gone for Upper circle which is still £77 each but hopefully view not too bad.

So selfish. If you want to get drunk, just go to a pub. [br Yep! It's such a shame there seems to be more frequent issues happening. It's at the point now where I will just avoid certain shows as can't tolerate the audience

Can't believe there's not a poll for this!
We went last night to top off our weekend in London. I wasn't desperate to go again as have been once to the Arts and then fairly recently to the tour but my other half had never been so we booked and so glad we did. I loved the show, perhaps more than ever before.
I thought that it is in great shape in the Vaudeville. The cast were absolutely fantastic and the vocals were faultless. I didn't know until afterwards that we had two understudies on. Leah Vassell was on for Parr - wonderful.
Does anyone know who was on for Howard? I didn't see a cast board. Looking at the programme it was presumably either alternate Howard Danielle Rose or super swing Rachel Rawlinson?
I know some people aren't keen on the concept and it is certainly different to traditional shows but for me the show totally deserves its West End slot, killer vocals and an overall good time!
