Sorry if my language was unclear in my previous post but yes they're all £20.

What are the chances of getting dayseats for a Wednesday matinee? I looked in the website too and there are loads of seats available so do The you sell those too at £25? Also could we get there for 9:30 and get seats? Thanks If you queue from the 9:30 you arrive to the 10:30 they put dayseats on sale you'll get something. I've never seen anyone turned away empty handed as extra seats are regularly sold. Indeed I turned up at 9:55 once hoping to not get a front row but still a dayseat and it was so quiet I got one anyway! Also they're £20 now, not £25.

Got two mid stalls tickets for £15 each thanks to todaytix's random offer earlier this week and saw this tonight at the filmed performance. I found it interesting but didn't think it quite hit all the marks. Lots to think about though and I'll be intrigued to see another production.
Bought a snow globe too. At £20 that's a stupid buy but at £5 it's a fun novelty. Just wish it didn't have the Branagh logo on!

From what I know I think Elena is very like Lauren personality-wise (judging by social media/hearsay), so the first time I saw her (about two weeks into her run) as Lauren it felt a bit forced and awkward. I went back a few weeks later (late September) and she seemed a lot more natural. For a debut I thought she was a very strong performer even if she took a little time to settle in. She has a fantastic voice for the score imo. I saw Amy as Lauren a couple of times and loved her.

Alice singing The Wizard and I at her fourth performance. I am totally blown over. Did not expect this AT ALL. This was the show I went to! She really took me by surprise, such a voice! Her acting was great too, she was an absolute joy to watch.

I love Billington's reviews, usually a good gauge as to whether I'll like something at the theatre or not. Don't want to think of the Guardian without them!

Just saw tonight's show, I absolutely loved Alice as Elphaba. I'm by no means an expert on the role (only seen the show live three times) but she played it with moments of nervousness and fragility I've never seen before - which only served to make the character's moments of strength even more impressive. A little too much riffing in No Good Deed for my liking but otherwise I loved how she sang the role. Didn't see myself eager for a return visit quite so soon but I've just said I have to go next time she's on, oops. Great chemistry with Suzie, too, watching them was just a joy.

Judging by Craig Mather's recent tweet re: number of performances left, I presume (if he has no holiday to take) that the current cast that are leaving will be playing there final performances 26th November. Now comes the tough time of do I book in advance now to avoid the scramble for affordable tickets, or wait and see if I like the new cast. You have a little more time than that actually- some are leaving at the start of December and at least one the week after them.

There's a biography of Bob Fosse called "All His Jazz" which is absolutely fascinating.

Weren't they amazing? I booked to see their public debuts in the roles and was not disappointed.

Hunch turned out to be dead right - hardly anyone left the lottery empty handed (probably around 35-40 seats in the lottery in the end) although we didn't all get seats together it was a fantastic deal. Had some dress circle seats in the end. The full house sign was out by 7pm. So... if you're looking to go and don't want to pay too much, keep an eye on weekday (even Friday!) evening performances with good availability and throw your name in that lottery drum. Conversely, someone reported only 6 tickets up for the lottery, last Saturday evening. I looked at Friday and Saturday online (had to catch the understudy Aladdin) before deciding to go on Friday, Friday was not selling well and Saturday was sold out. I'm unsurprised at the difference in tickets available given the tickets sold ahead of time according to the DMT booking site.

I'm a big fan of fun deals and while Cote Brasserie is a little average at times I found if you book with Delfont Mackintosh you often get a little voucher at the bottom of your email for a free cocktail for each member of your party. Also of note, if you sign up to Cote's email list you get a free £23 bottle of wine. Their pre-theatre menu is pretty good value too, so my two course dinner out for two with cocktails and a bottle of wine cost me a grand total of around £26 (for both of us, not each) the other day.

Saw this today, purchased on a whim late yesterday. I really enjoyed it- I'm not familiar with Cymbeline at all but I liked the way this play kept up the high tension and drama. Not totally sure about some of the movement and setting choices but overall I think it worked. Love the idea of reclaiming/renaming the play. Now I just need to read all the programme notes for context...

I'm not too worried about getting hold of a ticket, just if I'd like it or not. I'll have a watch of the video linked, thank you!

Still dithering on this one, I love the play and love Ruth Wilson but I cannot stand van Hove's productions. I'll probably see what I can get closer to the time.

Good tip - thanks ctas. Pity that never happens with the Book of Mormon lottery! Still never won it and I must have entered around two dozen times! It's happened to me for Book of Mormon lottery, but they usually add less seats and it doesn't happen as often. They added 8 extra pairs on a Saturday matinee in July which thoroughly shocked me! That time I bagged myself one of those £150 overpriced nonsense seats for the lottery £20, an absolute steal. Again I think it'd be a case of picking the day carefully and keeping an eye on the Delfont Mackintosh site. Couldn't believe how many tickets went in the Aladdin lottery today but if it means they can put their house full sign out then fair enough!

Thought it was worth noting here- tried lottery today because there was a cover Aladdin to check out and also I noticed a lot of seats spare for the performance and had a hunch they might be added to the lottery. Hunch turned out to be dead right - hardly anyone left the lottery empty handed (probably around 35-40 seats in the lottery in the end) although we didn't all get seats together it was a fantastic deal. My favourite work around with Delfont Mackintosh is either call the box office and do a wheedling "oh but I only wanted one, I love that seat it'd be amazing if I could have it" or just switch to the mobile browser and get it that way.

I'm regretting not getting a brochure now but on the night I was in a bit of a rush before and after the show. Had a look on eBay and someone is selling theirs for £100 I believe they're selling them until they run out, any chance you'll have a return visit perhaps and can get one then? I broke my no souvenir brochures rule for it!

RE: Dream casting, I've been thinking Scarlett Strallen would be nice in the role of Sylvia. Could get Bonnie Langford to play Madam du Maurier too for a neat little bit of semi-stunt casting? Both are great performers, probably too good for it but... that's what dream casting is before!
Just really hope that this delay in opening means Alfie Boe is no longer attached...

Pretty certain I did. (Row W, you were sat with my two friends perhaps? I was a few rows ahead.) Ended up going after all, hobbling up the steps to the back of the dress circle was a mission. I'll regret going for the pain it's caused me but I'd have regretted missing it more than that, so... Who? Me? Impossible, wasn't there hahaha. No, someone who was in Row W.

Another vote for the cemeteries here, my favourite places to visit. Sainte-Chapelle is beautiful and I believe you can combine a visit to that with one to the Conciergerie (practically next door) which is a fascinating historical building that went from medieval palace to prison during the revolution. The catacombs are great to explore, the centre Pompidou is fun if you like a bit of modern art. For food I'd rarely stray away from the Latin quarter, so much down every little side street. And Shakespeare and Company bookshop is a must! Lived just outside the city for a while and I miss it so much, have a wonderful trip!

had a nasty accident on some stairs and now I can't walk on my knee, probably going to be spending my day at the doctor's instead of seeing Wicked. Absolutely devastated to be missing tonight.

I've been late because of traffic... Two and a half hours were left for an hour long journey and we were half an hour late for the start. Sometimes it just happens.
