I’m shocked. Got through on the phone to ATG this morning and asked for a refund. Was told that a decision was going to be made in a few hours time as to whether everybody would get an automatic refund. When I insisted that friends had already contacted them and received a refund, I was told that he would need to check procedure on this with a colleague. I agreed to this and then ATG ended the call. Never had such disgraceful service in 30 years of buying theatre tickets.

Totally relate to what Dom says about not feeling the same sense of totally unparalleled excitement now I’m in my 40s as to when I was seeing shows as a teenager or in my 20s. Yes the anticipation beforehand and reflection afterwards was incredible! I wish I could get that all back!!
Also empathise with what Scswp says about seeing Betty Buckley in Sunset Boulevard and hearing about the American stars through Dress Circle. The world certainly did seem a bigger place in those youthful days!
My happiest West End theatre memories were the first shows I saw...Miss Saigon at Drury Lane, Betty in Sunset and the exquisite She Loves Me at the Savoy. Happy memories!

Whatever happened to Susannah Fellows and Kathryn Evans? They were two of my absolute favourite musical actresses- they had real class and talent. Kathryn Evans is no longer in the business sadly - she always lit up every show she was in with her fabulous stage presence.

Don't forget her Mrs Anna when she was standby for EP. She had all the charm and poise of Deborah Kerr and the songs have never been sung better.(And unlike Elaine seemed to love working with all the children.) I went on a night Claire was on especially to see her - she was a superb Anna! Always a pleasure to see her.

It’s 20 years next year since the West End premiere - would be good to have it back again. I agree ‘Loose Ends’ needs to go back in!

Wonder what time tickets will go on... They don’t seem to have announced the theatre yet so presumably you buy tickets in a price range rather than know exactly where you’re sitting, but who knows!

I’ve always found Ria’s singing voice both powerful and tuneful.

What’s the view like from stalls row A? Is the stage high? And how much is staged in the stalls itself?! Anyone been to Maria’s first shows today?

The sales at Birmingham are extremely poor. Looks like it has only sold 10% of the tickets. I hope I goes ahead. I hope so too as I’m going!

Anyone else get a cast recording in the post today? Happy Birthday Sondheim! I’ve just received mine in today’s post! Lovely production photos in the booklet (when I eventually got it out of the case!). Great to have a hard copy of this one. Recommended the show to a family member who went on Thursday and absolutely raved.

I did get the link at 12.15 but couldn’t get on site on my mobile. Eventually got on pc but the only decent stalls seats left for the date I wanted were premium prices. I refuse to pay those so didn’t purchase!

I haven’t had an email either! But 8 weeks isn’t a long booking period anyway - I wonder how high prices will be?!

A seating question...are the far side seats of the stalls (slightly reduced in price) that restricted a view? Sorry if this has been asked before!

£127.50 for front two rows in Birmingham, then £62 for most of the rest of the stalls.
