I agree with the others, this was a night to remember! Fantastic production, cohesive cast, fun-packed show with a passionate audience. So much talent that has been very well used... The two big numbers are breathtaking, and I was particularly amazed with the three duets Sutton plays and how she connects with each actor and develops entire relationships in a couple of minutes. It's not only that she's a charismatic star and commands the show, she also knows how to share the stage by shining next to others. It's delightful and, you guessed it, it's delicious! I love this review. ❤️ This literally echoes what my friend and I thought.

does Ms Kendal have the chance to make much of an impression with such a small part. Has she got a puppet dog or a real one? Puppet but very well done. And she is actually hilarious in the role! I hope you like her.

I was fortunate to get a rush ticket for tonight - can't wait! - as I can't attend my original date of Wednesday 28 July. As a result I am giving away my single seat BB1 for Weds 28 to whoever would like it. Ideally I would like it to go to somebody who might otherwise be unable to see the show. Hey. Is this still available please?

I think it is a wonderful bit of casting. The diversity has my heart beating. And Miss Steele returning, cannot bloomin wait.

Sarah is on holiday. Lucie has a bad chest infection but is hoping to be back Monday. I reckon Desi will do all week. Also spoke to someone at the theatre who said that it is the intention to have her for all of this weeks shows.

Theatre related (though not musical theatre): I love the Royal Court Playwright's Podcast (but then, I love Simon Stephens and he does them so I'm biased). I also quite enjoy The National Theatre Podcast (by *drumroll* The National Theatre) and Stage Directions (by Dan Rebellato). But then, all of those are more focussed on plays and writing so not sure if that's your cup of tea. Thank you!

Not theatre related, but James O’Brien’s Mystery Hour is one of the funniest and informative hours of radio there is Thank you so much!

So it's obvious Jessamy Stoddart isn't lead Elphaba as she is on holiday with her partner so wouldn't be in Bristol!

Elizabeth Futter from the international tour (1st cover Glinda) will not be joining the tour as far as I know (unless the chosen actress has pulled out) I rented off her whilst she was doing the tour and she was in the finals for lead Glinda but she didn't get it...

Thanks for the reply 😊. I thought as much - I'll just have to book a ticket and hope for the best. Did you watch the Theatre Live Lounge by any chance? 😂

I think Amy Ross has been cast as Elphaba. A friend of mine who understudied Glinda on a tour was in the finals for lead Glinda on the new UK tour but didn't get it so it has Deffo been cast!

I've seen the show 3 times and I'm really looking forward to seeing the new Lorrell. I saw Ibinabo Jack as Lorrell twice and if I'm 100% honest, she wasn't great. I think she acted the role really well, she was very funny but her vocals were not the same as her recording on Legally Blonde... she was struggling and you could tell... but health comes first before anything. Who did you see the other time? I think i saw Candace Furbert who i thought was excellent. Though i had some issues making out what she was singing through either bad diction or maybe it was the sound. Anyway, i don't know why she couldn't be bumped up. I had Jacasta!

Well sorry to burst Joe's bubble who said it earlier, but Marisha just replied to my tweet, she isn't going anywhere just yet. Don't worry. My bubble is still floating high like Glinda's! Take care.

She hasn't learnt it? That's common knowledge. What I'm saying is the reasons that she hasn't learnt it could be because of bereavement or anything like that. People have said 'she can't be bothered'... Do I think she'd appreciate it? Yes. I do actually because it wasn't personal to her, it's valid reasons for not learning a part. Unlike comments that have said 'she can't be bothered'. It's not difficult. Please get your facts right. Speculate is actually what you and others have been doing. All I have said is that she may be having personal issues of her own. I think the question is, do you think she'd appreciate it that someone says 'she can't be bothered to learn a part' when that's her career? I don't think she or anyone else would appreciate you throwing in illness and mental health into the mix with absolutely nothing to substantiate it. Im very happy to agree to differ with you on that though, no need to fall out eh. I think whoever made the "can't be bothered" comment was being flippant/lighthearted which is often what we do here. It's not to be taken TOO seriously. Hopefully Ruth's tweeting about being famous, comments about other people trying to "take what's yours" and her recent excursion into the recording studio are all evidence that she is sound in mind and body and we'll see her on stage in early Feb. Go Ruth! 👍🏻 I agree and I wasn't getting angry. It's just the frustration of people speculating when there probably is a reason she's not gone on yet.

I just think if she was having personal problems, she would be as active on twitter as she is, constant saying that she will be a star and throwing all kinds of shade...just saying... Burly and Daniel are only speculating and it's true that without any info from her or the producers, what so they expect us to do? What do they expect you to do? Not speculate I assume saying things like she can't be bothered!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Their loss then, Marisha is amazing, they are making a real mistake if this turns out to be true. I'm looking forward to seeing her. Glad you enjoyed the show Daniel.

When there is an alternate performance, the first alternate would go on. Marisha has only got 1 more show left which is next week and then the new schedule comes back when Ruth & Karen will alternate. Marsisha was called because Ruth hadn't learnt it. There will only be 2 alternates at a time. Hadn't learned it? Or hadn't been required to learn it because they didn't think she would be needed yet? As for your other comments, we speculate about this stuf in the absence of any information being given out. Same old story with SF, keep everything in the dark so people start making up their own versions of what might be going on. You just said she hadn't been on because she hadn't learned it, and then started talking about other possible reasons as to why she hasn't been on such as health/mental health issues. And then said no-one knows. So which is it? And do you think she would appreciate you throwing wild speculation like that into the mix with absolutely nothing to support it? She hasn't learnt it? That's common knowledge. What I'm saying is the reasons that she hasn't learnt it could be because of bereavement or anything like that. People have said 'she can't be bothered'...
