Think it was more a rumours and tittle tattle thread Jon Absolutely! Not worrying about it in the least, just want a few fun rumours for us all to play around with! Just noticed Jon started the thread. Your rules I guess then Jon

Are there any plays from the last ten years at the Royal Court that will still be being produced in 10, 20, 30 years' time? From just outside ten in 2011 I quite liked The Heretic and wondered if that could be the one. Topical enough to be relevant for the foreseeable future. Or was my score inflated as the play had Juliet Stevenson starring?

I didn't watch any of this (I know it's on playback) I must be one of the few. I do know however that the viewing figures have been HUGE as has the buzz about it. I saw something on the BBC new where they were trying to work out why it was so popular, looking at the stars of the show, the quality of the acting, the location where it's set, the strength of the writing. Whatever the combination, they clearly got it right. I hope that that those who did watch it, enjoyed it as much as anticipated. I started last week. Never too late to join the party. Just a really good drama

I was incredibly late to the party in this one. I have binged everything in under 10 days! Sarah Lancashire is a true star in this. Raw, real and powerful. The writing is taut. The drama well paced. I hope tonight's finale is a fitting end to the series. I have no reason to doubt that it will but, after Line of Duty, anything is possible. Yeah I did that. Late to the party and finished the penultimate episode with an hour to spare before the finale. Good series that one. Thought Norton was good also. Really good finish

Beautiful walk through a wonderful quaint English city though. If you walk on the way up I’d take the opportunity to explore Chichester Going to the matinee I always get there early so I can walk up South Street and pop into either the Cathedral's Cloisters for lunch - the new cafe opens in March - or if the weather is fine take a packed lunch - plenty of food outlets on the way - into the Bishop Palace Gardens. Good news about the new cloisters cafe. Quality of the food used to be spot on. With the court yard garden and peregrine spotting it was a great place for a quiet break in the middle of town

For the old-timers .. Wayne Sleep at Swan Lake on Wed, looking pretty fabulous given I thought he was dead; cackling away, gossiping, enjoying a glass or two. Very nice to see. David Mellor sitting directly in my line of sight in the bowels of the ROH last night for Least Like The Other, Searching for Rosemary Kennedy. I did think that, if you meld them together, you get Lester Piggott. Swan Lake must have been good? David Mellor in my eyeline would be too much. If there wasn’t another suitable seat I’d have to leave.

It’s honestly bizarre how obsessed you are with attacking everything to do with Harry and Meghan and this book. You clearly hate them - which is your right - but by any standard it’s obviously and undeniably a gigantic hit sales-wise. It's hilarious, the poor thing... Strange hill to die on...

Didn't Penguin announce at the end of the first day? Is that accusing Penguin of 'lies, damned lies and statistics'? Publishers lie? Heaven forbid. How much are they paying for the 4 book deal? Will that not affect a whole host of things like VAT and taxes due and all sorts of audit issues?

I would sort of have understood it if she'd been on her own, but she was with her husband. Why pick on me and not him? Maybe they reversed their usual sitting positions and she automatically nudged where he usually sits? Or perhaps, like me, she had learnt the word throuple this week

Was anything ever going to come of Leveson? When it was a hot topic and our media were hacking dead girls phones it needed a report. But not sure I ever thought much would come of it, for one of the reasons of the many reasons that our media are quite powerful Well, there were certainly witnesses who were sceptical on the stand at the enquiry about how effective the process would actually be. I think people had hope that if the political will existed that there would be some reform. Never going to be political will with a Conservative government. Paul Dacre recommended for a nighthood by Johnson. Can't see Starmer doing anything to forward this

"The Observer view on how Prince Harry’s stream of revelations will benefit no one" Pretty disappointing huh? I thought for sure it would at least eliminate poverty in a number of countries. I didn’t get the genius of this post when I read last night. Doffs cap

There's an interesting piece in The Times today, with this : "This isn’t just a revenge book, it’s an attempt to blow up the institution. If he can’t be a royal, no one can." But at the end of the day, Americans enjoy Royal-watching. Meghan wouldn't have sought him out if he was just some random Brit. But the timing is what is so troubling. I'm a republican and on the Left but see why the Queen was a useful figurehead for the Commonwealth at a globally very insecure time. Damaging that now - another very insecure time with a new Cold War - is narcissistic selfishness. He's a dangerous dickhead. Yep was always going to be Harry if it wasn’t his Mum

Harry is our version of Kanye: can he not get through a week without whinging to all and sundry while promoting yet another new tv series or book? If he has issues with his family, he should sort it out in private rather than attention seeking by going public with it. No one’s family life is perfect, he is old enough to realise that. He he

They made it to the final, which is tonight 8.30. Please don't spoil it for those of us who are a few episodes behind! Got me thinking this post. This is a thread where the board is discussing Christmas telly. The odd spoiler is bound to come out. Should the onus be on you to avoid the thread if you have some episodes to catch up? Can you let everyone know when you have caught up and the episode can be discussed? 🤔😉

TV really is rubbish this year. Watched about five minutes of Mayflies before deciding I couldn’t get through the topic without emotional trauma. Looked worthy though. Started watching Escape to the Chateau. Thought it was great this year. One gem a night. Christmas Eve Paul and Bob Gone Fishing. Christmas Day ghosts and Boxing Day Detectorists. Great television. All I have really watched this Christmas. All I had on the must see list
