Really enjoyed it tonight. Great cast, good story, great vocals especially from Scott Hunter and Barnaby Hughes as Stu and Mitchell. Both very watchable as well. Sarah Young as the only female took your eye and ears whenever she was on in a variety of roles. I've only seen Tom Lloyd before when he was in Parade at Hope Mill and he played a fairly small role as an Italian conscript. I was speaking to James the director before the show and he was pretty pleased how well they'd done with a very short rehearsal period. This was only the 2nd preview and there were some microphone issues, too quiet at times and the odd lighting miscue.
The stage is at one end so you enter from the small door inside the bar area. It is Raked pretty well and has about 12 rows. Sound and effects were good and the band sounded fairly tight.
Some laughs and some serious bits, a BIT camp at times but a good show. And if you want to see a bare backside.... Enjoy and support another excellent show at Hope Mill Pretty well full house as well

Anyone else venturing to Manc for Yank!? I'm going next week after the previews. Going this Friday night. I've got the sound track and it's pretty good. Music of the era. Should be a great show as usual at Hope Mill

As far as I heard it was not Layton but his cover Harrisson Clark yesterday. I think Layton posted his schedule for this week and he is starting from Wednesday matinee Just looking at the cast pics in the programme and there's no doubt it was Layton who was on last night. Someone also tweeted Harrison on Monday saying they couldn't wait to see him on Tuesday and he replied to say he wasn't on. Jordan Laviniere was on as Angel last night. Leyton due on this afternoon if he is fit enough

I think you would miss stuff on the front to row. I think once you are about 6 rows back or a bit more it is best

Do we think any more dates will be added to the tour now? Have been in touch with the Director who says Liverpool will be the nearest stop to Manchester so will be having a trip over to see it at the end of Feb

Highly recommended a trip to Manchester. Great city, easy to get around, great bars, restaurants and theatres. You will not be disappointed
I'm a bit biased but it's true. Give it a go

Any tips on seating for Southark?
Is the seating Raked?
Is it best to be facing the Front?

If you can get to Oldham Coliseum that would be good. My favourite theatre. However, if you,ve not been to the Lowry, that's a really nice theatre. Enjoy Manchester!

Saw this on Sunday. WOW. Goosebumps from the first song. Brilliant performances throughout. If you can get to Manchester don't miss it. Great venue and bar area. Looking forward to the next musical there from James Baker which I believe is Hair! Never seen it. Is it a strange choice? Anyway, won't put me off
