I've booked for the Lowry, and I'm taking a friend who didn't see it last time. It makes me nervous showing things I loved to someone else in case they hate it. I really really REALLY hope Vinnie Heaven and Fran Mills are back for it at least, although I hope they have the same full cast. I know for a fact that Vinnie isn’t returning, but they were all offered it - so some may be back

Is anyone else watching this?
I’ve just started episode 1 and it’s both terrible and amazing.

Does anyone know as yet what the seating plan for La Belle Sauvage will be like? Thrust stage - "Alys Always" / "A German Life" layout. For those of us who aren't members, can anyone let me know if there are any of the usual bridge affordable stalls seats?

I saw her in The Heiress and totally forot uuntil now. She has no stage presence and zero charisma on stage unfortunately. Plus a JL production will be so flashy and weird?

Im a huge Dave Malloy fan but this really missed the mark for me. Great tunes, but a terrible book and even worse direction let down an extremely talented cast.

Aside from the potential damp, what are the grass banks like? Is the view ok? I've been up in edinburgh all month and didn't realise how well this was selling and now they're my only option...

Ragtime is one of my all time favourite scores, but it does seem to be put on alot for something that has little to no name recognition over here. If it is the christmas musical, i'll obviously be there - but if it's not i won't cry myself to sleep. Give us something we haven't seen for a while!

Both of them surprised me in a good way! Dove sounds glorious (to my untrained ear) and renee obviously still has work to do as it was only a rehearsal, but this is far from the car crash i was expecting!

I saw the dress rehearsal tonight and was very pleasantly surprised. The score sounds glorious and some of the costumes are breathtaking.

Last nights concert was just absolutely joyous - plenty of opportunities for the Bad Audience thread too, and i think by the end Rachel was getting a little pissed off at the constant shouting, but it was still wonderful regardless. I shan't post too much yet to avoid spoilers for anyone going tonight, but for fans of the show it was a wonderful night.

Considering they've sold the standing area that is behnd the (slightly) raised back row, i'd hope they don't allow standing or else those poor buggers won't see a thing!

I got 2 tickets on the back row v. easily. I can't say i'm, the biggest Madonna fan, but my best friend is and he was very happy. Kinda hoping she does something from Evita so i'll know at least 1 of the songs.... She's in an ALW theatre so maybe she'll do a little something as a nod to him?

Does anyone know if Ridley will be doing any of the post show poetry readings for this? I usually book for a ridley show immediately then regret it as i miss out on the extra bits, but i can't see if any are planned for this?

They should just stage Hunchback of Notre Dame with the massive choir and orchestra and be done with it. According to Spotify the ENO Chorus are the chorus on the original movie soundtrack too, so it would be nice to see them do it on stage!

This really is fantastic. A proper rollercoaster of emotions that has you laughing along and part of their gang, before ripping the rug from beneath you and exposing the truth. An incredibly talented cast manage to play multiple instruments without ever succumbing to the actor-muso cliche's either!

It was directed by Stephen Schwartz son, Scott. So i'd expect its the same production as he'd be pretty hard to fire...
This is going to be so lost on that huge stage

The Regional US/European production of this looked v. stripped back & minimal, so hopefully its a new production for the Dominion?

Next year looks set to make them a lot of cash. I’m gonna be that person who can’t tell you what it is, but I’ve heard Baz is announcing on Thursday so you should know soon enough. (Will say they’ve gone for a new-er musical than what they have done previously) Is that the next Grade / Linnet one or another incoming production like On Your Feet / Bat Out of Hell? There is no next grade/linnet. This is their last co-production with ENO. The new show will a different beast entirely - in terms of the ENO deal anyway
