Busy and enjoyable day at work, left work for long weekend in London, got home and email from Almeida says Hamlet performance for tomorrow cancelled. Oh well, at least I am lying on settee typing this whilst my dog is fast asleep across my legs

Got email around 16.40 about cancellation. Travelling from Manchester tomorrow. Do I try and see something else or spend time with my family and have yummy food? Food is getting more tummy votes!

I know there's a great big list of local eateries on the Cursed Child website, but I'm trying to plan my day and was wondering if anyone would be able to suggest anywhere in particular that is affordable, convenient, has tasty food, and isn't inconvenient or intimidating to a solo diner. Bar Bruno at 101 Wardour St has good food, great value and lots of choices. It is a cafe but I like it

My family had tickets for this evening. Show cancelled. I advised try Charlie chocolate factory. They got tickets. They have just rung me----Charlie started and then has just been stopped due to technical difficulties. Will it re start? Who knows.

Having started this thread I have taken a keen interest in the responses. I have made a decision this morning, which is as follows: I will see shows at Donmar if I get tickets However, I will never get a Donmar membership again.

Years ago I had Donmar membership for two years. The membership then lapsed. When something exciting was announced ( Coriolanus, King Lear?) I tried to get a cheap membership and was advised the low price ones were sold out. I could not afford to go for the membership that was available. I was also advised that I could go on the waiting list for the cheapest membership. I did not bother. Years have passed. Less than an hour ago I received an email from Donmar regarding becoming a friend. If booked before 30/11/16, for £75 membership, I can get not only all the perks but two tickets for Henry IV at Kings Cross. I will not be taking up the offer. New season has not excited me.

The final scene of the second act is breathtaking. Impossible to follow. Impossible not to get involved. Still no idea where it is heading. But one hell of a journey Completely agree. I loved the production and would have happily rebooked to see it.
