Well, I really quite liked that. I knew nothing of the play before (or that it was around 2400 years old). This is obviously an updated version. Set in present day, it features a Muslim Prime Minister and family. I thought it all worked very well.

Was flying home on a work trip and a passenger who had bought Wifi told us about an hour before landing. We had the ACARS message through and the captain made an announcement. I had read that this would happen in the event of the Queen passing but it was strange to have it happen.

It would make perfect sense that London would be the next stop for this show (maybe via Manchester like Doubtfire/BTTF). Audiences here are much more forgiving, and it is the kind of show that London audiences seem to enjoy.
As for the theatre, the physical production I saw in Chicago was pretty large, I would imagine when talking about theatre availability they would want somewhere like the Adelphi or Shaftesbury.
Hadyn Gwynne.. yes can definitely see that. Jo Riding too.

High hopes for this - saw Between the Lines off-Broadway today and it has the same writers - and the score was brilliant. Hopefully they can do the same again here.

Too bad they still cannot TodayTix. They must lose out on a lot of sales! An interesting one for sure, I'm not sure any of us would have expected to see this (especially with some of the original cast), in London.

I did notice that 'London' was no longer on the Jagged Little Pill website. Only that last week, it was still listed. Guess its not coming anytime soon now then.

I had just said to a friend the other day I probably wouldn’t see this again in the West End. Definitely more likely now with Quinto! He’s great.

Thought this was brilliant. Francesca Martinez has written a fantastic play and plays her character Jess with a great flair. Loved Francesca Mills too - both ladies deserve nominations here, as does the play. Loved it and highly recommend - another winner in the Dorfman!

Saw the matinee today and didn’t dislike it like many of the above posters. I had no prior knowledge of the play and actually really liked the dialogue and play. I do think though I would have enjoyed a fully realised production more - seemed rather pretentious and “drama school” at times.

Its's gonna be a bitch fight on Tuesday, isn't it? And I'm gonna be in the middle of that. You and me both! I had restricted view seats for Spring Awakening both times and they were fine, honestly don’t think they’re that bad so I’ll take whatever I can get.

Todaytix still has a few for 2:22 (albeit full price). I think all the other matinees would be a bit tight.

So looking at Twitter, I believe now it was Amy Parker playing Annie last night. Shame on the show having no announcements or notices in the venue to advertise this. Anyway, she was wonderful.

I do wonder if a venue is lined up for Tammy Faye and/or Bands Visit to transfer.

Attempt 2 tonight and I'm glad I was able to see it this time! Quite enjoyed it, thought the music was good and performances excellent. Liv Andrusier in particular, wonderful voice.
Where this falters is the framing device of how the story is told. It actually made me question whether this might be better as a one woman show, with her directly addressing the audience, rather than the "gentlemen" in the room (totally forgotten about for large parts), and voicing the multiple parts (like Diva! or Prima Facie) rather than having a second actress.
It did go by rathering swimmingly, with a bit of a dip towards the end.
3 stars

Yes, very disappointing it’s only doing a limited release for one day. It seems to be well sold at the one I checked but I can’t do Tuesday typically!

The video of Why God Why? is pretty great. Lovely to hear his wide open MT voice rather than the pop/rock voice we’ve heard before. How long til he comes to London in a proper show? We he did 'sing' the praises of London audiences and I think that even he couldn't quite believe that his shows had grown to point of selling out all four levels of the Theatre Royal in Drury Lane and having a much larger band with backing singers. He even admitted that if the right show came along he would consider it. And there in lies the crux- the right show. And he has a three year-old daughter so for however long he's contracted for, it's have to be worth his while, they'd need accommodation for three- not to mention his commitment to his new band and other contractual obligations he may- or not have. This exactly. The most recent example I can think of is Sutton Foster coming over for Anything Goes. That show became a very hot ticket last summer partly due to her involvement, and I’m sure it cost the producers a very pretty penny. Jeremy can (almost) sell out two nights at Drury Lane but is the awareness to the general public as much as it was with Sutton Foster.

Brilliant concert tonight, no act two guest though like last night. I loved the Frozen 2 Mashup. Didn't rate the band stuff (not my thing)

An extension to September 2023 seems very ambitious, what with the current sales not exactly setting the world alight. Yep that's exactly what I thought too as that Also made sense for Doubtfire to take over Shaftesbury I believe Doubtfire is set to take over from a different musical if it comes to town.

Closing night in London before the tour commences. Was fantastic and such a brilliant atmosphere. Beverley Knight really is a fantastic Deloris. Tonight’s show was a late addition but was totally packed. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do a return London engagement at the end of the tour (either back in Hammersmith or West End). Will be atleast two years though with the tour now booking into 2024! I wouldn’t be too surprised to see a Summer 2023 stop as there’s no tour dates from the 1st July - 25 September! Well in that case, pop it back home into the Palladium next summer!

Anyone know if the last performance of Come From Away is sold out or still to go on sale? They seem to have disappeared from the website as soon as the closing date was announced. The closing performance sold out when they put it on sale (when they announced the final extension). Worth checking back for returns.

Has anyone seen Diva: Live From Hell at the Turbine? It seems to be getting wonderful reviews. Saw today and it’s very good! Thought Luke Bayer was excellent, and good material too. Hope it had a future life - would be great for the Edinburgh Fringe.
