This was quite possible the perfect panto. It had a bit of everything. So so good, and I'm curious to see how Mother Goose compares.
They've ran through a lot of the big panto titles since the relaunch, so curious what next years will be. Maybe Sleeping Beauty or Peter Pan.

I made a return visit to this last week having been to the first preview last year. It is in a MUCH better shape to what it was, actually I'd go as far as to say it was rather enjoyable. The cast are all great, especially Lisa Lambe - what a find! Thought Victoria was great as always.

That first week after New Years, and Jan/Feb in general is a pretty quiet time for Broadway. Buying in advance online is going to kill you with fees, even with a discount code/sale. Depending on what you want to see, you're much better off doing the on the day rush tickets which many shows offer, or TKTS.

As great as Cox is, do we need another revival of this so soon? Most definitely not. Only 5 years since the last one.

ATG has lots of £25 front row seats across the run, online right now, for those that don't mind being close. Thank you for the tip Steve, have booked for Tuesday evening.

Well no £20 tickets seemed to appear in the daily release today. Unless they released late or someone snapped them up very fast. There is no performance today, it was due to be press night but was cancelled. Tickets are released for a week in advance.

I find it interesting that the likes of Craig Revel-Horwood and Anton Du Beke do panto given it's when they are on Strictly especially Craig who is in Bristol this year and Anton who's in Bromley. I assume the BBC has cars for them so they can get to Elstree and back. No shows on Strictly Saturday.

Good fun! Emma Corrin brilliant. It’s a very unusual piece, I wasn’t familiar with it at all but did enjoy it. Front row a steal at £10, stage is nice and low for this one.

All booked! First preview and then my Birthday in October Sorting out my summer annual leave and turns out, I did not book the first preview, but the first Friday... That will teach me to look when speed booking. If anyone has an extra ticket in the lower price range for it, I will gladly buy it from you.

Really surprised to see this struggling so much in its West End transfer. Both the Upper circle and balcony being closed off. A real shame. What this does mean though are some good deals - they are selling quite a few tickets at £17.50 and £25 in the Dress Circle.

If there is excess availability then yes. Obviously hope the show does well, but also hoping some sales happen then! cheers Even Groundhog Day had dayseats last time when it was otherwise sold out, and All My Sons had lottery via todaytix. There’s always a way.

I lucked out on some great dynamic pricing for tomorrow. £39.50 for a row F central stalls seat. On sale for performances next week for £185 (!!!!) That should put you inside the beanstalk, or thereabouts! Good score! I believe it's the seat right next to it! I've come to love the Palladium panto.

Does anyone know if the Old Vic usually does any kind of deal once a show opens? Missed the £10 pwc seats and don't really fancy paying £20 for those dress/bayliss circle slips (but would be willing to pay £20 for better seats). If there is excess availability then yes. Todaytix rush and flash sales have occurred for most of the recent shows.

This is what will win Jonathan Groff his Tony. He’s just so good in it. Does NYTW count as a Broadway theatre or would he have to transfer with it to a bigger venue to be Tony eligible? It will need to transfer. NYTW only holds 200 people.

I’d imagine Elf back again next Christmas too then, and then hopefully a big new shiny production of something in 2024.

Maybe Into the Woods will go to the Phoenix now afterall (with a future life hinted at the other day on twitter). For Stranger Things, if it needs a fairly large venue then the Savoy may be the best option, or Gielgud? Who knows. Into the woods is genuinely not having a further life. I’m not lying when I say this. Everyone needs to make peace with it 🤣 So then what are the future plans? I don’t doubt you have insider knowledge, but so do others, and as the recent will they/won’t they transfers of Doubtfire/Crazy For You/Tammy Faye prove, plans change.
