He did Friday and Saturday matinee this week. I suspect he'll always do a Saturday matinee and one of the shows on a Thursday, which will be the other 2-show day.

Gary Trainor is on as Dewey tonight and he is excellent. Few sound issues but this is a great show.

Must be a weird feeling for the originals Ben Wheeler, Mark Isherwood and Lucinda Gill, who've been there since the very beginning.

For a musical, it's all about the score for me. I want to have at least 2 songs stuck in my head when I leave the theatre. If I can't remember any of the score, it's not done it's job as far as I'm concerned. I'm also far more likely to enjoy a musical with a poor book with a catchy score, than a show with a strong book but dodgy score.

Just after Ben started, he got injured during the fall through the trap door and was off for a couple of weeks, so he may still be a little wary. That said, I have seen him twice and he went down the trap door both times.

Was worth it to hear Tell Me It's Not True though, I had goosebumps during that number.

Saw this tonight, Dean Chisnall was fabulous as the Narrator - what an amazing voice. Loved the guys playing Mickey and Eddie too. Lyn Paul is good but doesn't quite have the voice to pull off all the numbers. It was my first time seeing Blood Brothers, and I hadn't appreciated what a gripping story it has....or how long the show was!

I'd like to see Matt Cardle in another musical - thought he was superb in Memphis.

Today's the first time an understudy has taken over between parts I think. Jamie Parker has been taken ill after part 1, so Stuart Ramsay will be playing Harry in part 2.

They performed at the Radio 2 Proms in the Park this afternoon and sounded great. They performed 2 numbers - Teacher's Pet and Stick It To The Man.

I love this show, but every time I've been since cast change - the theatre has been, at best, 60-70% full. I wouldn't be surprised if the show closes in the West End soon.

Rock of Ages and Made In Dagenham are both favourites of mine. I do like Les Mis as well.

You Can't Stop The Beat from Hairspray Raise You Up/Just Be from Kinky Boots Phantom of the Opera from the musical of the same name She Used To Be Mine from Waitress Seeing You from Groundhog Day

Sarah Harding sounds terrible in that recording - embarrassing that this is deemed acceptable in a professional production.

Have to be honest, David O'Mahony doesn't strike me as a Dewey, and he's a very different build to everyone who's played Dewey on Broadway (except maybe Will Blum).
Alex's covers have been Jonathan Wagner (who has left - he was the original unofficial 'alternate'), Michael Hartney, Merritt David Janes and Will Blum. I suspect we could be getting Jonathan.

To add to that question, who are the understudies for the leads?

Luke McCall would go on as the Phantom when Ben and Scott are both unavailable to perform. The current 2nd cover, Kieran Brown, has done quite a few shows, so Luke should get his chances to play the Phantom.

As I've already said, it's always been close to full when I've gone, so I fail to see why people think this is struggling.

I like the music to be quite loud as long as I can still hear the performers. The only one I thought was too loud was Sunny Afternoon - I couldn't make out any of the lyrics because the music overpowered the vocals so much.

Sandra Marvin or Brenda Edwards as Motormouth Maybelle - both brilliant in the role. Edna and Velma will inevitably be stunt casting (though both Tony and Claire were great on the last tour).

Stephen Ashfield's run of 3.5 years in Book of Mormon was pretty impressive (and is about to start his run on Broadway). I recall Mazz Murray was in We Will Rock You for ages.

Michael Watson was recently back as emergency cover as they were down to one Frankie on Tuesday (Matt was ill, Dayle on holiday and Ben on paternity leave).
I have to say, while this cast is good, I'm not quite as impressed as I was with the previous 2 casts - possibly because I don't think Matt is as good as either Michael or Sandy.

Janet and Darren split up quite a long time ago. Not hear of anything she's done since Wonderland.
Back on topic, the casting for this makes me want to see this. I'm surprised Kerry Ellis would get involved in this, but it's certainly interested me enough to think about booking tickets.

Perfect - thank you so much! I had noticed they now have 5 male swings (and only 2 female) and was wondering how they'd work - bit weird having a Lola cover who isn't also a cover for the Angels.

I've seen the odd offer around, how's this doing at the box office? I've seen it a few times with this cast - it's been 90-95% full every time. I'm not saying it's like that every night, but I don't think it's struggling as much as some people would have you believe.

One of the angels has stayed past cast change - Philip Town (the backflip angel) but all the others are new. I know Jon Reynolds wears the Union Flag outfit for the finale - does anyone know the outfits for the rest of the new angels?

It's all about the music for me - so I listen to cast recordings if one is available. If not, I look around for any snippets I can find of songs from a show (like Tim Minchin's performance of Seeing You from Groundhog Day), to see if I like what I hear.

Looking at the number of seats left on the dominion website this seems to be massively struggling. There are tons of seats available for both the matinee and evening performances today, so mid week can't be very healthy. I hope they see sense and get some deals out there for it. I saw a midweek show last week which was almost 100% full. As Beverley Knight's not on today, that maybe why it's not as full.

Out of that list, I've seen: Callum Francis, Hollie O'Donoghue, Matt Nalton, Oliver Ormson, Tosh Wanogho-Maud, Dayle Hodge and Lisa-Anne Wood. All brilliant, and in some cases, better than the lead. I would love to have more than one vote, as I want to vote for both Callum and Dayle for very different, but equally brilliant performances.

I've just managed to secure seats for Parts 1 and 2 during October 2017. If you're on your own - there are a few performances with spare seats available.
