I saw this earlier this week and was bored most of the way through it. I thought it did look very pretty but I wasn't familiar with the story at all so this may have been the reason I was bored.
Also the little girl in the film looked a lot like Miranda Hart.

Sorry, I didn't mean it to sounds harsh, it was more as a gentle warning just in case you ever happen to be visiting Belfast or any other part of NI - the vast majority of people probably don't care (and I doubt Rachel does!), but there are some people with more hardline views who would certainly take offence, though I think it's all a fuss over nothing given we're geographically attached to one, diplomatically attached to the other and are entitled to carry passports from both! I'm from Northern Ireland too and people can get very annoyed over the whole Irish/British subject, however people who aren't from Northern Ireland don't think the way we do so it wouldn't bother me if someone referred to me as British when I consider myself Irish. If someone from Northern Ireland called me British that might be a different story. We are freaks.

I couldn't watch that video the full way through. My reaction was more or less "oh shut the f*** up."
Apologies for swearing, I didn't think any other words were suitable.

Susan McFadden singing 'She used to be mine'
I actually think she sings it much better than the original.

Yes I can definitely imagine her playing Glinda a little more than Elphaba but she has a lovely clear belt so I'd still like to hear Defying Gravity.

Katie is approaching 40 and has been playing the role of Nessa on and off for around 6 years. She is getting too old and will have to do something else sooner or later.

I was in the car recently listening to the lyrics of a few non musical songs and I decided to see if I could fit the songs into a musical. I thought this might be a fun game. For example, what if in Miss Saigon, instead of Kim singing "I still believe" she sang "One for sorrow" by Steps instead. Yes a few of the lyrics might need changed but she could have a little dance break with that song too;
Anyone else have any musical songs they would like to replace with a non musical song?

I just hope they keep 'Mama I'm a big girl now' in this time and don't cut it like they did in the movie.

Saw the show last night. It was fine but the songs were VERY forgettable. I left the theatre remembering the song that was in the movie and that was it really. The best part of the whole show, for me was Agustus Gloop and he was only in it for about 5 minutes. So after being disappointed with Matilda last week and this show this week I think I need to see one of the classics next time.

Has anyone dayseated for Wicked on a Saturday recently? I'm hoping to get day seats for the matinee this Saturday and wanted to know the latest time I could arrive... roughly, of course.

Just back from seeing Matilda in London tonight. What a load of sh*te. The only part I enjoyed was the little girl being swung by her hair. Oh how I wished it was me being swung out of the theatre by the little hair I have left. The story was fine, but the music and choreography was not to my liking at all. Glad I have seen it though so I now know what I was missing.

I think I am also off the following weekend. I'm on the fence about going to see Matilda tonight. It's still on my to see list.

I'm sure this is weird but is anyone interested in going to see a show or two this weekend? I've found myself off work with nothing to do and having serious theatre withdrawal symptoms.
I don't mind going to a show alone but if one or more people want to meet up for a show that could be fun.

I might be going to see this tomorrow as I can't find anything else cheaper. Anyone know who I should be expecting to see as Elphaba?

I saw Tupele in Chicago and I was underwhelmed. She can sing yes but her vibrato sounds horrible and quite forced. Just my opinion.

I have a ticket for the final matinee and I can't make it would anyone be interested in the ticket? I'd rather someone get to see the final matinee than the ticket go to waste. The seat is H16 in the upper circle.
