And you know at her age (36? 37?), within 6 months of the wedding there will be the announcement of tiny feet.

Something I've only recently learned about American culture is there's an understanding that the massive portions you are served aren't to be consumed in a single sitting. Restaurants expect you to take your leftovers home for lunch/dinner the next day. A Big Gulp is still a helluva lot to get through in a single day,but the understanding is that it will take you a good part of the day to get through it, rather than you drinking it all at once. I'm in US and am still horrified at the size of some dishes. Some of the dishes I wouldn't eat as leftovers on a bet. Even the so called "Senior Plates" are so huge. Big Gulps are good for parties. You pour out half then fill with ice and rum. Last you all night. As the ice melts that drink becomes a bit more diluted, which is how I like them. Plus you can rightfully claim "I only had one drink all night"

Didn't happen opening the can... did when slicing the roll... and that is not a euphemism. Why is it that when someone says "that is not a euphemism" I give a little snort and think "does anyone really believe that?".

Myself and daniel were having this same conversation last night. I only have four shows booke thus far... closing night of American in Paris, Pippin, Fun Home and Company. Additionally, to keep in the stagey theme, Sheridan's tour too. Just saw Fun Home for the first time here in Providence RI this past Sunday night. Touring company is incredible!! I can't imagine that Broadway or West End cast could have been better.

(Question are the Gods of Gay Plays any different to the regular Gods of plays?) Hopefully they dress better than the regular Gods of plays

I've never in my life left the M&S food hall unhappy. God bless the M&S food hall. Hail! Hail! Hail! They opened one a 5 minute walk from my front door, for which I will be forever grateful. not much a little M&S treat can't fix! I have NOTHING comparable in the US. Especially in Barrington, Rhode Island. So sad

3rd day of no power here in Rhode Island after storm. Supposed to be back on by Thursday. Sucks as I work remotely and have been having to wonder around looking for power and internet. I want a shower. Really need one to

I LOVED THIS SHOW!! SO MUCH IT PISSES ME OFF! 😂😂 I was convinced when this was announced this would flop, be sh*t, worst musical of the year, I could not be more wrong! It is brilliant! The cast are fantastic all round, the score and book are hilarous and at moments really get to show off their voices, and the scene where the Monster comes to life, deservedly so, recieved its own applause just because of the sheer spectacle of it! I went to stage door after just to tell Dianne how brilliant she was, and she saw me, recognised me and said "you were a brilliant audience member, I haven't seen someone in front row be that responsive and laughing the whole way through yet!", and she was so right, I was crying with laughter at some points! Just brilliant, a 5 star show! How wonderful to know that the actors do see how audience reacts!! Hope this will still be running when I'm next in London

I can't wait to hear who is playing Freddy Eynsford-Hill to be honest. 'On The Street Where You Live' is one of the most gorgeous songs in musical theatre ever. Yes, I said it. Ever. Didn't Dame Diana play the same role in 'Pygmalion' in London's glitzy West End a few years back? The one with Rupert Everett? YES. 'On The Street Where You Live', was felt by everyone who walked past their "crushes" home. It resonated for me when I first heard it.

Apparently it's Lee Pace. Now I'm sad to be missing out. I have been mad about him since Pushing Daisies. Guess I'll be stressing about tickets again

Well. I think I have sciatica. I'm currently jacked up on a cocktail of paracetamol, ibuprofen and codeine so every cloud and all that. I think I could carry off a walking cane so I'm considering that too. Why do men seem to be able to carry off the cane more so than women? Is it my silver hair? Am I not taking my full dosage of Vicodin so that my Charlie Chaplin cane twirls dont have the same von vivant flair? Is it that I know what a Charlie Chaplin cane twirl is?

I wish I would have done more Stage Doors when I was in London this past July. I'm actually a bit shy and that, along with not being terribly familiar with the tube, meant that the only stage door I did was on my last play in London "Half a Six Pence". Emma Williams was so lovely. She made sure that everyone had an autograph and selfie. And then Charlie came out. I had read the reviews and such and had told my kids back in Rhode Island that I was going to see a future legend of musical theatre. He was so sweet. I kept screwing up the selfie and when I told him what I had told my family in Rhode Island, well, he's either a VERY good actor, or was genuinely touched. But I forgot his autograph !
I've bought a nice ticket to see him in Hello Dolly on my Birthday. London broke my KNEES!!. Looking at double knee replacement soon but I've already told my kids that the birthday present I want from them is to drive me to NY. Drop me off at Shubert Theatre. And hold me up at Stage Door.
Planning on next trip to London Oct 2018 with as many plays as I can fit in and will stage door every one!
Not sure why Broadway intimidates me so much but can't wait go get back on West End

Does anybody have any ideas or educated guesses on how long this is going to run? I see tickets being sold through Feb 10, 2018. Hoping for an extension after that

My recent 23 days in London turned into a "why can't I friggin walk? I must just be in terrible shape" thing. Dragged myself from place to place, determined that I was not going to miss anything I have dreamed about in 62 years because of weak muscles. Saw so many incredible plays I almost cry when I think of the beauty. Get home and today found out that all the walking in London was the straw that broke the camels back. Or rather the camels knees. Arthritis in both knees. Total knee replacements coming up.
LOOK OUT LONDON FALL 2018 !! I'm coming back and I'm gong to walk every square inch of you wonderful city!! I will walk every garden (even in the fall) and do all the funky tourist "London Walks". And If there is an incredible play while I am there I will stand to get day seats!! Or even SRO.
And I am going to go the V&A and figure out where the F*uck everything is !!
I love London

Have noticed particularly amongst Americans a tendency to say that they *could* care less when they mean couldn't. Don't know why but it drives me insane. Most of the time it does mean "we could care less, but you aren't worth the effort"

Just got back from performance. It was a lot of fun and a real throw back. I did a stage door for the first time and Charlie Stemp was so gracious and sweet to everyone. I sent the picture I got with him to my kids and told them to keep track of it because some day they are going to be glad that they have a picture of him in the beginning of his career.

Andrew Scott was wonderful but I pretty much left Hamlet at the theatre. Prior Walter is still with me, popping up at different moments, tears coming to my eyes when my mind wonders to his pain and smiles at his defiance.

Have I just gone to incredible plays while I've been here or are standing ovations with 2 or 3 curtain calls just standard now? I thought I would never stop clapping at Angels but it took me a moment or two to come back to the real world. But I did just do a 'raised clap' on a couple of what I've seen while every one around me was standing and cheering

I know what a jockstrap is - can't believe we're discussing such things on such a prim and proper board - perhaps we should do Theatreboard branded ones??! Didn't know the Smirnoff slogan. Thanks. Only if the women get an "over the shoulder boulder holder" branded one also

So Mr Trump has decided that transgender people shouldn't be allowed to serve in the military. "It was not clear what prompted Mr. Trump’s decision", says the New York Times. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that a substantial part of it was "My supporters think they're icky". Making America grate again. The Pentagon is ignoring this. They have determined that a tweet is not a policy decision. Let's see if Drumpf follows though on this
