So with rehearsals starting tomorrow, hopefully we’ll get some more - if not all - confirmed casting news. Not if they haven’t finished casting we won’t 😜

The performance last night was simply stunning! Such a fitting end to an incredible run! Amy was giving everything she had last night, but still remained in character without adding any OTT riffs that take away from the moment! You could clearly feel the dedication she put into that performance! Amy has long been one of my favourite Elphaba’s ... she’s just amazing all round! Sounds wonderful and acts the sh*t out of it! Every performance of Amy’s has been an absolute joy to watch! The rest of the cast were on their A game! This whole tour has always felt strong and it finished the exact same way! Shame to see it end but all good things must come to an end! Let’s hope we see some London transfers in the summer! There’s nothing else to add to this. Agree with every word. A bootleg has emerged on YouTube and it’s as jaw droppingly perfect as it was live.

Amy’s DG tonight (well technically last night) left me feeling so shook and choked up. It was perfect. She blew the roof off the Palace and completely deserved the huge cheer that followed. Out of this world. It’s just a masterclass in story telling. Riffs to emblish not detract.. sadly for me today’s matinee was a bit of a riff-mess..... just because you can doesn’t mean you should!

Awesome night! Nothing else to say about this cast... Michael McCabe gave a great speech to thank everyone and now I’m off to have some drinks!
Wicked tour. Out. I’ll do a fuller post tomorrow....

I’m running out of words to describe Amy Ross. Jaw droppingly brilliant! And Helen Woolf somehow gets funnier every time I see her!

Well Nikki definitely is a power belter! Smashing those big songs out of the park!
Couple of muck-ups but not too many, there might be others I missed....
* Witches mother gave witches father a scarf and suitcase when she gave him the hat in the opening!
* James Davies Williams was wearing a beret with Charli Bapti in his Shiz uniform!
* Whole ensemble ran across the stage during WAI and sans during the train station scene.
* There was a leprechaun cuddly toy in the lion’s cage!
* Elphie & Glinda were given Giant tickets to Wizomania and they had big star shaped sun glasses!
EDIT with the 2nd half muck ups which included:
Charli - “I hear some naughty aninals” and Ben Yates asking if Fieyro wanted still or sparkling water?!

I know at least one of you actively hangs around and 'listens in' to get the goss to pretend that you're 'in the know' and also 'stalks', if I can use that word lightly, some of the cast and musicians, etc on their way home. Well, that doesn't sound creepy at all... Is this 42nd Street or Wicked?!

I agree it would be very nice for Amy G ... hopefully by some small chance it happens! Nikki will give a memorable performance tomorrow no doubt, knowing it’s her last! She’s always been vocally amazing during the big 3 numbers when I’ve seen her ... acting wise however she’s always been lacking behind the Amy’s I find! This seems to be a common assessment...

If only Amy Goodwin could go on! Would be such a fitting tribute for her! 💚 Almost booked for the Matinee but so glad I didn’t now! It seems Amy Ross is taking every opportunity to be well rested and in top form for Saturday night! It’s no harm to the producers to put her on on the last day but I know it won’t happen. I’ve not yet seen Nikki having seen Amy W a few times when Nikki seemed to be always calling out! So happy to get a Nikki show finally.

Lead in a West End show? I dunno it'd be really good career wise... And doing it on the West End where she understudied and carrying on with Amy would be a draw I think!

Nikki’s last performance will be the matinee tomorrow for anyone that’s there. Assuming it’s Nikki..... I’m holding out to the Wicked gods that as Amy R has a scheduled show off for the matinee that they get Goodwin green!

Casting call gone out from Stage Entertainment Spain for a new production - given the profile requirements definitely sounds like Wicked! This would further make sense with the U.K. tour about to close this weekend, the set would get shipped over to Spain! Courtesy of Google TranslateThe production company Stage Entertainment Spain, responsible for the musicals 'The Lion King', 'Mamma Mia!', 'Anastasia', 'Les Miserables', 'Bella y Bestia' and 'Chicago', among others, invites auditions for main characters, secondary and together for its new international production that will premiere in Madrid. The registration period for the casting ends on January 1, 2019. The first round of auditions will take place during the week of January 21, 2019, in Madrid, at times and places that will be communicated at the time to the preselected candidates. Those interested, of all the vocal registers, must register through the website www.stage.es/audiciones of the producer, attaching a photo of the foreground (face) and a photo of the general plan (whole body), of a maximum of 2MB per photo. The preselected will be informed of the date, time and place of convocation, as well as the material to be prepared. The producer does not report the name of the musical that will be released, although some rumors point to 'Wicked'. CHARACTERS DESCRIPTION: Soprano, leading actress, apparent age 25-35 years. Dominance of belting and legit, vocal range Sol3 - Si5. High interpretative ability, with mastery of comedy and talent for dance. Mezzosoprano, leading actress, apparent age 25-35 years. So am I right in thinking it’s just Amy G and Charlie K to go on for their covers? Did anyone manage to catch Jack’s Boq? Boxing Day treat for him! Social media seemed to show he only got the one show though. And when did the witch switch happen? Yep that’s correct! Of course Amy G as Elphaba though, she’s had a few Glinda shows! One week to go and everything crossed they get a show however unlikely......

How does this (and London of course!) work with the Matilda’s?! If there are 5/6 children playing the lead do they each have a show each week or is there a ‘lead’ Matilda and her understudies/Standbys?!

If they’re down to Amy Webb then it means Amy G will be on Standby for Elphaba so fingers crossed she gets a green show!
Selfishly I need 4 hours notice to get there from Cardiff but after a stella two year swing run Amy definitely deserves the chance to be green!

I’m really hoping that Amy will be back to close out the tour. I heard she was meant to be back tonight? I have a friend in and it is her third attempt at seeing Amy. She went to Edinburgh and there was a witch switch, and both times she went to Sunderland it was Nikki. I’m assuming it will be ala first tour and Amy will be on regardless like Ashleigh did! We had Jackie for the matinee and then Ashleigh did the evening......

It appears from Instagram that Amy Ross has a cold/flu again, there was a post about her immune system letting her down! So whilst it’s disappointing Amy is off again it does seem to be illness related rather than vocal problems like many tour Elphabi before her!
EDIT: and when I say disappointing, that’s in no way a criticism of Amy, it’s disappinting she’s not able to wow the Manchester audiences as she’s fricking awesome!!!

It’ll be worth going to see that costume change live!
And of course it’s bound to be an ex-Elphaba cast as Elsa so that’s always something to look forward to...

There must be a tipping point that they reach say 95% of capacity (or something similar) and don’t then worry about selling the final couple of seats. If they sold the seat at £30 versus not selling at all it won’t impact their overall profitability so they can leave it at £70 and if it sells it sells!

My other half volunteers as an usher in the WMC and it definitely happens on nights he’s ushered... its in their Pre-show brief too that it happens 5 minutes before the 2nd half starts.

Seeing as it’s the UK twitter account that’s been promoting the Amsterdam leg and also directing people to the new European twitter account, logic (at the mo!) would suggest its the UK cast.
There’s been nothing from the US account about either venue.

The Wicked photoshopper has struck again...
This Thank Goodness photo definitely has Sophie Evans c.2018 as Glinda and definitely has Jackie Hughes in the ensemble c. 2013...
