I imagine both Alice and Laura will leave and my guess/wish is Amy Ross and Amy Webb to take over respectively.

I wouldn’t be so sure as she’s never played the same role twice. I would be surprised if offered the chance to reprise Elphaba in the West End she’d turn it down!

I think we’ll get a handful of tour cast transfer in including Amy Ross as lead Elphaba with Amy Webb Standby.
Kim Ismay will come in as Morrible. Helen Woolf will come in as lead Glinda with Charli as Standby. Ensemble to transfer in will include James Titchener but I’m not sure about many others.

Was anyone in for the matinee yesterday and see what happened?

I work for a high street bank and it’s possible to roll over from one maternity leave to the other, but you need to return to work for a minimum period of three months to qualify for the enhanced maternity package again. If someone became pregnant for a 2nd time while on their first maternity leave, they would only be eligible for statutory maternity pay.
I’ve massively over simplified it and no idea how it works in creative industries but that’s ours works!

Nothing else to add on what’s already been said, I’m so glad I saw this last night it truly is a spectacle! From the moment the first girl appeared on the top of the balcony, to the tap number (wow!) and the individual follies at the end - wow again! So many highlights but obviously Janie Dee and Jo Riding were outstanding. I really enjoyed Tracie Bennet too and the audience lapped it up. Felicity Lott and Alison Langer were mesmerising in their solo number as Heidi, Alison especially has such a beautiful voice. Not knowing there wasn’t interval until I picked the tickets up and having been out drinking since midday (birthday trip to London!) I worried about the old bladder but fortunately no disasters and no one around us left to pay a visit either, perfect audience! Huge thanks to Being Alive for the recommendation, I saw this purely on his raving tweets and am so glad I did.

Right I’m here in my seat and ready to see the show!
I literally know nothing about the show, not the era, the style, the country! Excited to be going into something blind!

I'm sure Sheridan will be wonderful. Also, You lot can be really unnecessarily negative sometimes... This. 100% ⬆️

Got charged £35 for a ticket I don't have because my browser messed up when processing my card! I went back and got a £15 very restricted view ticket. I can get the £35 back, right? If the sale failed at the payment stage the booking usually gets held, call the box office and they can proceed with the sale or release the tickets for you. If the booking did complete you won’t usually get a refund as they’re sold non-refundable so you’d have to transfer it to another date/show. Given all the issues today though you’d hope they’d refund as their systems were terrible!

Would Liam have any name recognition with the general public? If the rumours are true of Jason Donovan playing Pharoh/Jacob and Sheridan Smith playing Narrator (as both rumoured on previous pages) you could argue you don’t need a name as Joseph. Jason will get the older crowd in and Sheridan gets the popular vote as TV starlet!

Now the dust has settled I’m really glad I got some tickets despite the awful situation!
I’ll wait for the flurry to die down then might wait for payday and book a couple of matinees with my ticket allocation before general sale.

Not sure it’s been mentioned either but I had to tick to confirm about bringing ID and the payment card used to the box office so not sure if they’re operating a similar ticketing policy to Hamilton?

That was more stressful than Hamilton!
Took me 95 minutes from clicking on the link when it arrived to getting and every Saturday night is sold out. I’ve booked two in the Royal Circle for Friday 8th so I’m really chuffed I’ve got in early, but that wasn’t a pleasant experience!

12.08 link arrived. States I should join booking page in 2 1/2 hrs. How does that work?! You should click in 2 1/2 hours and guaranteed access or if you click now you’ll get served in two 1/2 hours???

My guess is they're sending the links out in the order we all signed up for the mailing list. I remember signing up very soon after it opened. If that’s the case I had my pre-sale link nearly an hour after everyone else! Aaarrrggghhhh!

Ok me again... (sorry!)
I’ve never been this excited about a musical opening, Wicked had been open 4 years before I discovered it....
How likely is it that previews get cancelled? I know Hamilton has issues because of the renovation but I can’t think of many new musicals such a CFA, 9-5 that had delays opening? I’m not going to try for opening night which I think is a Tuesday but I’m wondering about Friday/Saturday night. I don’t want to book really early only to then get bumped to later on....

Oh FFS, I 100% signed up for this after I missed out for Hamilton and I wasn’t prepared to do the same again! I’ve not had an email this afternoon/evening so guessing I didn’t do something correctly.... but I don’t see how I couldn’t have!

My Mum will be very happy with Mr Mead reprising his role... I still remember the day we went to London to see him only to find out at the box office that he wasn’t on - I thought Mum was about to kill someone! That's always rough when that happens...especially when you are travelling from far like Wales. Haha I’m assuming you’re being sarcastic and I 100% agree! I was happy to see the show regardless but Mum was firmly in the “I voted for him on the tele, I want to see him live!”
